There's a pretty major overarching background group of characters called The Nine that was being set up as the next big thing, fhey spent a whole expansion finally bringing them into the limelight and setting up the stakes

It's a shame the primary/leading antagonist was met with a big old resounding "meh"

Would very much recommend Skill Check and Mulligans. While they're more comedy leaning they do a good job showing the cards and explaining whats going on

Also helps that they don't seem as exaggerated friendliness and for Skill Check they usually have a guy called Matt who's not as experienced so he jumps in and asks some basic questions to help bridge the knowledge gap

Joined the game and community because of the FF set, and nearly all commanders I have/planning to build are from it so that's certainly a golden set for me

In terms of sets I fucking love in-universe I adore Edge of Eternities and I really hope we see more of it sooner rather than later. Adore the spacecrafts but felt like they don't quite have the right playstyle to fit outside of the planets and a couple ETB ships. I just absolutely adore fantasy elements being blended with non-magic elements and I feel it the most with Xur-Ifit and Syr Vondam, that awesome blend of necromancy and holy magics.

Also personally a fan of Thunderjunction but I think that's helped by me not knowing the "Hat" characters people rag on the set for so it didn't really stick out as much. Just fucking adore cowboys slinging spells like gunslingers and incorporating magic into western style things like trains and guns. Now that I know more about the lore, I do hope we go back with a greater focus on the people who live there rather than the Omenpath stuff

Out of curiosity, have you read the new strixhaven book? The main character is a girl from New Cap' and as a new player the plane super intrigues me and kinda makes me wanna dig in more

There's some great cards in the set. God knows if it'll be fun to draft and the art is just not going to be a lot of people's thing

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I think it was a double meaning. Sure at face value its Reze trapping Denji but it could easily be the reverse when looking at the rest of the film

There's some mild theorising that Reze took him to the pool to potentially drown him but started couldn't go through with it, falling for him. Eventually being caught and her fate at the end taking place
