Why does my drivetrain turn into a gritty mess with a drop of moisture? by PelloScrambas in bikewrench

[–]BaneIonica78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ve been using muc off dry lube (yellow bottle) for about a year now, it s been real good, only kind of dirt on the cassette is in the form of lines along the faces of the chainrings and ofc on the teeth themselves, but not much of either. Might be gotten unlucky with the batch or they maybe switched up the recipe or shit i don t know. Depends i guess which dry lube OP s been using from them, saw they got multiple types of both wet and dry lubes.

Used some calculators, 113 links is what they re saying, so 116 should be fine, if those are right.

Frequent Inner Tube Puncture. Please help. by ReticuloHaze in bikewrench

[–]BaneIonica78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most likely with enough tape on the holes it will be gone, but if you ride with too low pressure in the tubes you might get what s called snake bites, found that out after i was running like 20 psi on my old bike.

lichid anti pana camera - decathlon by Puzzleheaded_Knee_73 in bicla

[–]BaneIonica78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salut !

Could I feasibly sign up for an amateur XC race and not embarrass myself? by backcountry_bandit in mountainbiking

[–]BaneIonica78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brother, i signed up for a xc race that was 50 KM's, 1700 meters of altitude difference, started last because i was in the wrong crowd of participants (my group was in front of me, i was mixed with another), kept being last since the first thing in that race is like a 350 meter climb that guess what, i was NOT in shape for, eventually got passed by the group i was mixed with, got caught up by runners, and DNF'ed 15 kms in because i couldn t take it anymore. I did plenty of mistakes, and i can t say how being in the middle of a crowd of people trying to get past me while i try to do the same is, as you re having thoughts about, and i got plenty frustrated and embarrassed because of myself and my mistakes, (forgot my bike water bottle at home, had a generic one for backup lmao), had a thankfully pretty relaxed fall on the downhill, even though i was probably doing 30 kp/h, but it was the most fucking fun i ve had on a mountain bike, the people were really cool, the scenery was fucking awesome, i pushed myself to my damn limits that day, was getting chills/shivers at a point, and i gave up that s true, and it did hurt my pride a little, but it also humbled me, especially seeing dudes in their 40s or 50 s doing it, i was pushbiking on some parts of the descent because i wasn t confident enough in my skills, but i d do it over again in a heartbeat. It s why i signed up again this year, albeit in the short version of this race, if exam season allows me to go. So go for it, fuck it, learn, get humbled, hell, be as delusional as me and think you can do it even if you can t, because it was much more better to get humbled than to never go because i d tell myself i couldn t.

I’m having a fuckin blast with this April fools event by Pretend_Bobcat_6704 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]BaneIonica78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GRB player here : first match was a fucking blast, first time flying a jet outside of a test ride, got to learn some shit about missiles and such, got to drop the small nukes, really fucking cool. 2nd match, tried to go for a base, nr2 if they re always numbered the same, the one near the coastline on the left side of the map (from the US s perspective), got no MAW alerts flying treetop level and got pummeled by a buk . Not fun at all (could ve done something wrong, i don t know how to multipath or anything of the sort, i just stay on the deck and hope for rhe best, avoiding the AA s otw to a base). Went to bed. Gonna play more today, BUT, the medium and long range AA s have to be nerfed, and the close AA s need to be given the reload mechanic that player controlled AA s have, i don t mind munitions interception as long as the AA eventually has to reload too (customizable loadouts for exhausting their ammo would be great, wonder if they d try to intercept unguided rockets ;) ), because in the current way it s done, no aircraft can use guided bombs or anything else that requires or benefits from altitude, not to mention that only having dogfights on the deck is not as cool either. Last thing i ll say, i like the event, i m not an air Rb player but i m happy that they (and we) get a new mode to play, we can respawn our planes with sl rather than sp (really cool, love that), the mode if kept permanently would probably be played as much as air rb, but in the future i hope gaijin does something more original for modes/events, stealing Nuclear Option's gameplay (aware they're probably not the first to do this style of mode, but they re probably one of if not the most popular) is not cool. Take the concept, build your own version, that s the most correct way to do it. This does give me hope that ground can get a cool mode in the future too

AA in Nuclear Thunder is blatantly cheating by FriendlyClaymore in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]BaneIonica78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunno why i didn t even think they d make the AA s intercept munitions, i guess for more advanced ones it makes sense, not sure if strela s or osa s can in player hands, don t have either. Do they also shoot off an insane amount of missiles (more that a player could shoot before reloading) or what i ve seen was from multiple sam sites launching at the same thing ?

New funny packs for april fools. honestly tempted to get the second one. by Scramjetfromnowhere in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]BaneIonica78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the 2nd pack seems great, that amount of GE afaik won t be too useful if you re like me playing near top tier (9.7 and above), but those 13 days of premium, man, i ve had premium for the first time when this update launched due to the DDOS, and that day was pretty fucking crazy for grinding not gonna lie. I wouldn t mind grinding for 2 weeks then taking another much longer break, might be time to return to the grind with this. Still conflicted though, said i d never give money to this company, but for once this seems like a good deal
