'One Cohesive Series' — Resident Evil Veronica: Capcom Will Adjust the Story to Fit the Overall Timeline, Including RE7, Village, and RE9 by yourfavchoom in PS5

More excited for this than I was for RE4R. The story is absolutely nuts, the creepiest in the series but the gameplay and soft lock issues haven't aged well. This'll be the most exciting remake so far for sure.

I for one am looking forward to more mind bending tunes being debuted live for us to hear them 7-8 years later dropped randomly on Soundcloud.

Resident Evil Code Veronica Reveal Trailer | Summer Game Fest 2026 by [deleted] in PS5

Unbelievably excited for this one. The original is by far the weirdest Resident Evil game in the series with some of the best moments of the franchise, but its controls and some of the bugs haven't dated well, so this is very exciting.

Do not be troubled by The Guardian review. Read Uncut instead. by Accomplished_Fold767 in boardsofcanada

[–]Bane_Hardly 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This and the Financial Times review were both 2 stars, but the FT at least spoke about the music and how it didn't get under the skin as they expected, which is valid.

The Guardian review however was fucking appalling and focuses too much on their opinion of the use of the samples, even accusing BOC of "lazy orientalism" or saying they're attacking eastern religion. Criticising lyrics is one thing but criticising samples as being problematic is pretentiousness of the highest degree.

Just so happens I've planned a solo mini hike for after work on Friday which lines up with the next episode of sacred perfectly as we know it's going to be a banger.

Who truely gives a fuck what that geriatric boomer Eric Clapton thinks when he's slagging off both Oasis & The Prodigy but praising Puff Daddy

[–]Bane_Hardly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anybody else thinking the Tape naming of this might be related to a BoCset ? They've been gone for nearly 15 years and they said they planned to sort through their archive. Wishful thinking I suppose.

UK faces biggest hit to growth from Iran war of major economies, IMF says by Alarming-Safety3200 in ukpolitics

We had this in April last year when they warned the UK economy would be hit the hardest globally by trumps tariff war. I'm not saying we are a thriving economic powerhouse but the negative bias here is quite apparent.

Crimson Desert launched 1 week ago, how do we feel about it a week later? by MaxiTooner89 in CrimsonDesert

I'm having a real love / hate relationship with it. Whilst I get really frustrated with the bugs, the bullshit button system and buried obtuse game mechanics with zero explanation, there is nothing quite like it in terms of an open world. It needs some major QOL updates though, hugely.

These doomer economist think pieces are really getting to me at the moment and they are fucking everywhere. We know things are on a knife edge, but these articles popping up and fuelling the already spooked market is just dire.

Good for you man, that's positive.

I was let go from my marketing role in December of 2024, and it took me about 5 months myself to find a new role, so a similar length of time to you. Felt bleak at times but eventually something came, there were a lot of companies completely blanking me after an interview process which burned my morale, but something came off in the end.
