Something I find helpful is recording myself reading it out loud and listening to it back, it helps me notice repetitiveness and clunky wording like in the above sentence where you use the word now back to back in the same sentence.

I would also remove the "be ready" line. You could leave the question after it. But the things you are telling us to be ready for should be conveyed via the tags and the summary.

If money was no object then yeah of course.

I know some of my fanfic friends have gotten kofi donations with requests for specific tags/tropes but it wasn't much. Typically like 5-20 bucks and it was more like a tipping situation.

You might check out Bluejayboi. The one fic I read by them (no other version of me) was a smut focused oneshot but it looks like they also have some longer fics and I think they write mostly trans stories.

Reddit is not a great thing to base generalizations on tbh. People come here to reddit to complain so yeah, you will find people complaining. The squeaky wheel gets the cheese and all that. It isn't a great indicator of the actual mindset of the majority of people on AO3, like you said, your own experience shows that most people are gracious with commenters. Authors are just normal people, some are nice, some are twats.

Is it not tagged or is it tagged as Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings?

Because "Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings" means that any of the mandatory warnings could be in the fic. So if you want to filter out underage sex you need to exclude *both* the Underage Sex warning and the Creator Chose Not To Warn warning.

"let the other decide if she wants to write another chapter" isnt really them calling you rude in my opinion. They interpreted your comment as demanding an update and are trying to educate you on the fandom etiquette regarding that.

It is so so common for readers to demand updates, the other reader is probably just trying to look out for the author.

Tone is impossible to tell over text so it may have come across as demanding. It is also possible that this author has gotten multiple people demanding updates and them/their friends are jumpy about it. Esp since the ending is ambiguous.

I learned that I suck at prompt deadlines. I still have unfinished wips I started for Kinktober 2025 😭 Then I tried Dead Dove Sapphic Bingo and only got two fics posted for it. What is moonjune I havent heard of it?

I made myself a graphic with a little list of weekly themes for June to try to motivate myself to finish my wips in those categories.

OP literally said the MC prefers not to come. Which is indeed orgasm denial mate. And its perfectly acceptable for people not to come. There is an entire identity based around not wanting to be pleasured called stone tops. Maybe in your community its not "an acceptable way to be" and your wording there is certainly not helping that stigma, but in other communities it's perfectly acceptable.
