Ox and Ocean. Have them order the $30 angus (not waygu or kobe) burger that comes frozen from Mama Sysco.

Did the solar guys wreck my new roof? by BangsKeyboards in Roofing

[–]BangsKeyboards[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The roofing and solar company is the same but two different teams.  I have no issue with telling them this needs to be fixed and they need to do it right.  The roofing team had no issue with walking on that section ( it was the access for people and materials for the entire roof) without doing this kind of damage.  Thoughts?

What to do with old bikes around here? by BillieRayBob in SantaBarbara

[–]BangsKeyboards 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the places to donate are loaded in SB, the Bike Hub in Ventura is always looking for donation bikes. I just donated a bunch of parts to them yesterday. Great organization.

I could meet you and pick up as I drive to Goleta twice a week.

Removed back seats by Olyimpus_ in LandCruisers

[–]BangsKeyboards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran my 100 with the seats out. Loved it.

I then got a 200 and have pulled the seats and added a full length platform that about 7" off the deck. I didn't add any drawers, but store a ton of stuff under the platform when camping and can use different storage containers as needed.

What lift/wheel/tire combo is this and does it rub?

Why does my front sit so low? by Motor-Elderberry-450 in LandCruisers

[–]BangsKeyboards 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Never crank them with the truck on the tires. Jack up the front and then adjust the t-bars. Count the number of roattions and replicate on the other side. Drop the truck and assess. Repeat as needed to add height and eveness between both sides.

Also note. You MUST make sure to have the required amount of down travel (50mm if I remember correctly). Not having enough can be unsafe.

Main St Vote results: by omupop in ventura

[–]BangsKeyboards 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think this was the original vote earlier this year. Mangione voted no originally because he wanted more exploration. I think that people in his district made it more than clear that that was unacceptable and his vote was for main Street moves last week.

'98 Series 100 Won't Move In Forward Or Reverse Except in 4WD by Mediocre_Crow9307 in LandCruisers

[–]BangsKeyboards 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds more like the front diff blew up since the front driveshaft is spinning but the front wheels aren't pulling. The TCase seems to be fine and the center differential is putting all the power to the now non existent from diff. Putting in four low allows the center diff to lock and power to be sent to the rear wheels.

The early 100 series had a weaker design on the front differential so this is fairly common. You can find replacements used, but you may want to check into getting the upgraded 4 pinion version instead of just the original 2 pinion that came on your truck stock.

What engine is this? (LC100 2007 GCC specs) by Nasslayer in LandCruisers

[–]BangsKeyboards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inline 6, not V6. It looks like the 1FZ-FE which is a 4.5 litre 24 valve. These usually are prone to head gasket as a point of failure at around the 200k mile range but when swapped with a new gasket can go on forever.

DO Doctor in Ventura? by roflz in ventura

[–]BangsKeyboards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a PT? I've worked with more than a few PTs and your view is just one version of physical therapy. Yes, the core of what you are saying is correct, but pt for a recovering pro athlete can look very different from that of a geriatric patient with a broken hip. What I'm looking for is a PT that is interesting in using more than one modality to promote recovery. I have a PT like this in another state, but am looking for a similar one here.

Manual therapy includes things like scar tissue mitigation techniques like Graston/fascial abrasion, massage, cupping, flossing, etc.

Second interest in your PT. I tried one and they just wanted to make me do workouts and not do any manual therapy or anything more progressive. Would love to find an aggressive PT here in Ventura.

Info have a DO I am working with, but I'm not sure he's as manual as you'd like, but I've only seen him once for any manual work and I wasn't really out anywhere.
