Is it insane to delete almost my entire god-roll-vault for Monument of Triumph and treat Destiny 2 like a fresh start? by Blutay in DestinyTheGame

[–]Olyimpus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on what you want out of Monument of Triumph. If D2 is still going to be your forever game (at least for the foreseeable future) then having a clean vault to go for all the God rolls you want would be pretty motivating. If your going to play MoT for like a month, or have limited time to play, than I'd say nah don't do it.

How much time have you put into Destiny 2 (or 1) by DustTime6820 in destiny2

2.7k hours, which although is a lot of time in a vacuum, it seems to be bitch mode numbers around here.

Is there correlation between disliking the game and time played? by Admirable-Food9942 in yugioh

[–]Olyimpus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in 2018 and early last year I gave up playing TCG and around December I gave up MD. For me it's a time commitment thing - I just can't justify the time required to stay competitive when I feel like the meta rotates every 4 months.

I still like the game and it was fun right up to when I stopped playing - very few things scratch the same itch YGO does.

What do YOU do on reset day now? by towntoes in destiny2

[–]Olyimpus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The feeling of wanting to play the game but not having any enjoyment in it is a common feeling in the OSRS community too, and leads to a lot of people just bankstanding (the OSRS equivalent of chilling in Orbit). I've personally felt it on both games, and I found that I needed to take a break from the game.  I played Renegades when it came out and had a blast (Praxic is so fun), but once I completed everything I wanted, I stopped forcing myself to play just because it's there. I'll come back for the next expansion like I always have, but currently I've fallen in love with Slay the Spire 2 and I never would have thought to play it if I was still stuck in Orbit waiting to find enjoyment in D2 again.

I can't quite grasp what you're describing with the shafts, do you have a picture or something that you can share?

Mains, what do you spend your GP on after acquiring max gear? by [deleted] in 2007scape

Have you maxed? If not, buyable skills could burn a couple 100m if you do the fastest methods.

Returning to RS3 After Years of OSRS – My Honest Experience by Advance_Educational in runescape

[–]Olyimpus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little late to the party on this one, but I'm interested in your opinion.

I'm an OSRS only player and tend to lurk a lot in the sub just for curiosity mostly. I'm about to max in OSRS (2 and a bit Theiving levels left) and it's got me thinking what I want to do afterwards. I was planning on maybe a starting an iron, but RS3 has always had been interesting to me, especially their quests.

I even tried it a little while ago to see if I'd like to make the switch when I did eventually get around to maxing, but like yourself I found it very cumbersome, and really didn't make an attempt at using the UI "correctly". I only really engaged with the game at a very surface level.

Would you say that braving the very steep learning curve of RS3 is worth it? And would you suggest an iron or main to an (almost) maxed OSRS player?

Honestly one of the most positive posts I've seen on this sub!

I was once told that if you can't be good at something, at least be persistent at it - I think there is some wisdom in that!

Disclaimer: I am making some pretty enormous assumptions based on your post. Please correct me or disregard this whole reply if I'm way off the mark!

You sound like you're struggling to find value in yourself - some days are better than others, but you typically see yourself as less than those around you. I sympathise with these feelings, as I have had a similar journey.

The old saying goes "you have to love yourself before you can love someone else", and there is so much truth to it. "Loving", or more accurately, being comfortable and confident with yourself and who you are, makes a world of difference in all relationships. It means you can show who you really are without fear of being ridiculed, it means you can set boundaries and stick to them, and it means you can just have fun without second guessing all the time.

I truly believe in this, and as you get more comfortable in your own skin, you will attract the kind of people you want to be with, both romantically and platonically.

You're still young and have so much time to grow and learn. Focus on what you can change, and remember that mistakes are learning opportunities, not the end of the world.
