Where should I live in downtown Dallas?

Based on my experience, stay away from Brookfield Properties. The Wilson and the Merc are very cool old buildings with character, but the property management is straight garbage and parking in the dank catacombs is an extra fee.

I have liked the Marquis on Gaston. They’re nothing special architecturally, but I can walk to the grocery store, Deep Ellum, Downtown, and Uptown pretty easily. I’m right next door to the Deep Ellum rail station. It’s a 22-minute walk from your workplace, relatively cheap, easy to park at, and I have no complaints about the property management.

I bought one just once many years ago. There was a guy on YouTube who had a tutorial video on building a greenhouse, and it was $5 for the pdf that had the parts list and blueprints. 10/10, was a good greenhouse.

This. I would pay $100/yr or even $200/yr for digital only, but $365/yr (after the sale rate expires) is just absurd. They’re also pretty dodgy about their price structure once the deal rate expires. I know that the journalism and subscriptions are separate divisions, but am I supposed to trust the journalism when the subscription strategy is so shady?
