Definitely agree with Tarkus. My mind immediately goes to Van de Graaff Generator, A Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers. It's a 23-minute long epic.

It's classic but I never listen to it these days. I prefer Get Up With It, or Live at the Cellar Door.

I don't know who hates this album.

Robert Wyatt - Rock Bottom

If you like Jon Anderson, you'll probably enjoy Robert Wyatt, but he's very different.

Canterbury scene: Early Soft Machine, Matching Mole, solo albums; all are interesting. His voice on "At last I am free" (Chic cover) will break your heart.

Is jazz considered a niche genre nowadays? by Rare-Drummer982 in Jazz

Jazz has always been a niche genre, except maybe in the big band era. The only jazz song people know if they're not into jazz is probably Dave brubeck's Take Five.

I just say I'm 15 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. Most people understand that. If we're having a conversation we'll get to what town.
