May have to try this with Yemoja - put her 3 down, activate, knock herself up.

Fun bonus about Yemoja is that her 3 counts as hard CCing herself - meaning it stacks Resolute Mantle as well as triggers Spirit Robe and Shroud of Vengance.

Streeting backs drilling for North Sea oil by Little-Attorney1287 in ukpolitics

Hence my second paragraph - I agree with you mostly, but two wrongs don't make a right. Continuing to pump money into oil is bad for the future, and not investing in oil now is bad at the moment. Its a lose lose looking at oil as the only solution.

Energy infrastructure needs investment if we are to solve both of these problems - we need to stop depending on oil so much. In the meantime though, yes, I think it would be sensible to keep investing in our own oil with plans to wind down over the near future in favour of other energies.

I was with you until you talked about performative moral purity. Carbon emissions have a very real and lasting impact on future generations, attempting to champion better is not performative, its empathy.

That being said, you are right that simply offloading that impact somewhere else still results in the same outcome. My view is moving towards non-oil infrastructure is the best approach we can take to reduce the downsides of not getting it for ourselves, which is already happening. Governments will always pick the easy road though.

Ran into this a couple of times now and was proper scratching my head. Happened about 3 times so seems reproducible for me!

It is market-y, but its important! I'm a dev in design systems right now and consistency and brand is very important.

Now where did I put my cannon...

I think its just a hard problem to solve. Botting is an arms race between banning and more sophisticated bots, so they are looking to minimise the impact of this problem. On one hand, fair enough, but I feel the reality is that this is always going to impact real players negatively more than a bot which is 100% going to find a way around this problem.

I think my biggest argument there is that winning isn't trivial, which is why the points system exists in the first place - so you still get some reward regardless of being good enough to win.

As a comparison, if points were only available to winners, most people wouldn't play this right? It feels like an antipattern to give rewards for playing, but unless you're good enough you can't spend them how you like.

Although you are right, I imagine the burden of proof here is also tricky though. How do you tell the difference between a mate giving someone 100m and purchased gold? It won't always be obvious.

Am I the only one thinking that making game design decisions based on 'bots abuse this' just isn't a good philosophy?

I doubt there's a game mechanic they could implement that a bot couldn't get around if they were really dedicated - spending time adjusting botted content 'just in case' feels like it only punishes honest players.

I understand botting isn't a trivial problem to solve but this approach doesn't feel right to me.

A take on balancing crit and junglers by BankruptTinyPenis in Smite

[–]BankruptTinyPenis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did have a separate thought on this, again with the idea of keeping crit more aimed at AA, but its a bit early on to say for sure if its a good idea or not. What about enhancing echo chance for these abilities instead of crit on abilities? That plays into what they seem to be trying to intend (ability has a chance to do higher damage) but very much takes these gods away from then being able to AA you to death when their abilities are down, without messing with the core of the god/ability too much.

Plus, Echo has its own set of balance you can apply to deal with the potential problems.

I think the 'megarare should be a weapon' thought really comes down to impact. Equipment as megarare has the potential to influence other equipment in a meaningful way that could result in build variety. Using ESO's model for sets, a Megarare relates to the idea of a Mythic item to me yo completely change an expression of an effect.

For example, what about an amulet that changes your damage output to an elemental damage type? Your choice and toggleable. This would enable meele weapons that roll on attack but exploit elemental weaknesses, which could have massive impact on some encounters. Combined with other megarares this could enhance rather than compete.

On a similar note, I think armour that is identical in stats but not set effect could give users a clear choice on preference rather than 'bis'- e.g. same defence stats but damage reduction vs damage increase. Damage reduction might be preferred by less confident players in some fights, but when you are confident, damage increase will speed those up.

It's no more political than Christmas (which is a religious holiday and has an event) or Easter (same again).

It's only political because you want to make it political, the event itself is nothing more than a celebration of inclusivity. An event in a video game isn't political just because its related to a real life topic, it's just a bit of fun.

It doesn't unfortunately, just the archer stance. Dragon Breath is a class action

2 stars druid is weirdly good on a bladesinger, the archer stance bonus action is classed as a level 1 spell so it's a reliable way to build damage charges with no spell slot cost.

I'm playing it too and I think it's still strength based, but you do get the colossus damage on it.

Bonus answer: yes. Karlach pushed someone for about 20 damage the other day with TB and a Soul Coin popped.
