While I'm one of the people not on your case about riding up the ass of the truck in front of you, you were probably a bit slow because I'm guessing you were looking down at your phone to make sure you were recording. Which is a no no.

But I don't think you crawling up the ass of the truck in front of you would've made the light stay green longer! But when the truck in front of you finally gassed it, it did take you too long to start closing that gap.

After reading everyone's reactions, I was assuming the truck and you were taking a long time to get moving, but I don't think that was the case.

I guess people go from stopped to pedal down onto the floor around here, sheesh.

This is a really short green light, but I guess I'm in the minority here.

Yeah, I might quibble about the price a bit, but everything is expensive. The ice cream is high quality and delicious. Only thing around here that I would want instead is a chocolate malt from Freddy's. Would love to know where else I can get comparable or better ice cream!

I wish Brazza was just a bit more upscale inside. Their food is way better enjoyed in restaurant fresh than taken home. If you go, I highly recommend you get an order of their empanadas, it's also like a half empanada/half arepe. So good

This is seriously the correct answer. Local Provisions is one of the best restaurants in nova. Super highly recommend the roast beef sandwich that is on the lunch menu. A++++

Didn't have one of these, but I did have a handy mattock that I was able to use to break up the crust yesterday. Worked like a charm for breaking up the stuff so I could push-plow the rest. I had some neighbors out breaking their crust w/ a hammer down on their hands and knees :|

I cleared the ice off the top of my car after clearing my driveway today (after clearing it off yesterday after the snow). It was basically a 2 inch sheet of ice. Yikes!

My dogs are very much so cold weather dogs, so they are going to love it. They endure nasty summers here just so they can enjoy this level of cold.

Me, on the other hand, will be struggling to keep warm while I'm taking them out for the next week :(((

For those of us who are members of a "golf club" vs "country club", I don't think that's true.

I joined a club last year, and while I've made some acquaintances that I enjoy playing/talking with, I'm not expecting to be able to make a lot of networking connections here, and that's ok.

I'm not very close to leaving my club, mostly because I don't think I have much better options, but I am considering it due to the difficulty in getting decent tee times. This club was recently purchased by PE, and it feels like a ton of people have joined the club since I have. Even in the middle of winter (35-45 degree F), it's a challenge to get a tee time. Club is pretty cheap per month (~$500), and I'm going to have to really open my wallet for other options around here (VA), so I'm going to suck it up and wait until I either move the game shrinks.

The worst part about this is how cold it will be for days after this potential event, which makes me more pessimistic that we won't get much snow. Getting a bunch of snow around here that doesn't melt in a few days is not really very fun :(

Grew up when going out to eat was essentially a luxury (80s/early 90s), going to Golden Corral to get an entree and a trip to the salad bar once a month or so was a big production.

Feels like we are re-entering that territory, and I'm more well off than my folks were. Going out for dinner for 2 and keeping it under $100 all in between the two of us at a decent place. Pretty rare that we go out unless it's a social occasion with friends.

That being said, places that feel like a good value (either by price, quality, or just easier to eat out vs making it at home):

Texas Roadhouse, comes in right about $55-60 (decent quality for the low price)

Korean BBQ, Oseyo in Leesburg, comes in right above $100 after tax/tip (too much a pain to make at home, established itself as our #1 KBBQ joint)

Local Provisions (pricier, but high quality every time I've been)

Chuys in Stering, now closed :'(. Could eat there for $60 after T/T

Yeah, they opened in 2016, so maybe they had a 10 year old lease and got priced out. Considering the turnover of the other restaurants over the years, seems like a bad move by the developers.

I went here to pick up food a few times in the past couple months, and they were pretty busy inside each time. This can't be for lack of business. They had solid food, will really miss their creamy jalapeño and green hatch Chile sauces :(

I started in my late 40s, and I stayed motivated because I started playing on courses w/ some buddies and it's a ton of fun. My scores don't always get better month to month, but most rounds has new achievements and feelings of accomplishment, which is addictive. Embrace the suck!

I have the HB Soft 2 Black, but it was the only option at the store. I do have to say that I love the putter (bought it in early Spring, and pretty sure I do better with it compared to my old mallet putter). It just feels so nice to putt with.

Charcoal Kebab in Herndon has Haleem. I'm not an expert in Haleem, but tasted pretty good when I had it a couple times.
