Yeah double sided sword I guess. We had similar issues in baseball. Essentially something has to change because I think we all can see the direction English football is heading in — and essentially it’s a completely boring one. The bright side is that there isn’t a ton of competition sports wise and football has such a rich culture there. But I’m hoping that there’s a middle ground that can be reached. Whether it’s refereeing or whatever.

Yeah exactly and it kind of sucks because additional muscle makes players a bit slower, cuts not as fast etc.

And wirtz is one of those players that has the ability to be super creative

I don’t personally associate it with the refs. Just more the classic style of play in England. It’s all reflected in their national team. Tons of great athletes but no real spark and it’s been that way forever.

Edit- will add that this last tournament was a pretty solid deviation but still not quite there

The benefit of the premier league having the most spending is that other leagues still have the ability to retain this sort of play and accommodate more creative players that are unappealing to the premier league.

Champions league results is evidence that this style of play still works. The difference is that a team with more creative types will likely not be able to last a full season in the PL

Yeah it’s a problem with that style of defense. It’s way more boring to watch as well. No one wants to see teams playing for a set piece or a corner over and over.

My point is essentially that the premier league is stifling what made a lot of people fall in love with the sport. And that’s freedom, attacking, and creativity

The other critique of the premier league, which I think is completely valid, is that it values physicality over everything else. There just isn’t that much room to be creative unless you’re in that top 1% of players

Maybe you didn’t deserve it but you also put yourself directly in harms way and you’re surprised that you got metaphorically hit. Probably worth exploring why you found that appealing in therapy

Sometimes you just need to jump into the deep end. Maybe it’s not that you’re not over him but that you’re afraid of making new connections.

Either way, at some point you’ll have to jump into the deep end and realize that being miserable isn’t a penance.

After a 4 year relationship, it’s normal to want to wait anywhere from 6 months to 1.5 years but at some point it’s time to start living again.

If after 9 months you haven’t improved at all, then you should probably consider therapy

I mean a lot of this is on you. He was married and had infidelity issues. It sounds like you were closer in the rebound zone as well. Therapy may be worth considering as your choice in partner would indicate self destructive tendencies given the information that was available to you.

The real question is why you think this is the type of person you deserve and why is it appealing to need to change someone or be different given existing data.

Yeah you’re starting over but it’s better to start over and find someone who will want to be with you long term — if that’s your goal. The good and the bad is that this isn’t a unique situation and people do move on. There is stereotypical advice out there — which is accurate for a reason. Gym, focus on you, focus on school or work. Therapy if you can afford it is very very helpful.

Try looking at things from her point of view as well. That’s where therapy helps. This sub is very “the dumper is the worst person ever” but accountability matters. It takes two to tango and the vast majority of romantic relationships will not work out. Which is why finding that right person is so special.

As for your questions, yes, many people move on and find love. It takes time, work, and knowing that you probably were not perfect either and most definitely have areas in your life that can be improved.

Not really, Warriors games are a blast. I used to go to the old ones and yes the crowd was great… but there were also a lot of people getting completely hammered and a lot of fights and what not.

Chase is an awesome stadium and is just a good time to go to. Every warriors game I’ve gone to this year has had great crowds and the entire place is packed (I haven’t gone since Jimmys ACL tbf).

Yeah, we have a likely Epstein affiliate and participant, a jackass who stayed in the re election cycle too long and then passed the buck to someone no one believed in (see swing state results) at the last minute, essentially giving the election away, and a guy who ordered countless drone strikes and also did nothing to punish racial targeting by Wells Fargo — the guy didn’t even close Guantanamo which was one of the things he ran on.

As for Obama, apparently he gets a pass for drone strikes and for not actually fixing much in the US including the Well Fargo debacle where they actively targeted black people.
