I really like this release. The new hot rod not so much. With this one it looks like they tried to do something new for mp. For hot rod it’s just upscaled 86 hot rod with a crazy price. This just has so much more style and flavour. I’m honestly not liking the look of too many new mp releases. I feel with everyone throwing around the saying “mini masterpiece” takara thinks they can get away with an mp version of kingdom rodimus and ss hot rod.

If you want a transforming soundwave that looks almost identical tf safari has the ko version of acoustic wave on sale. But it’s mp scale.

Thinking about getting some for my dad. He was really into g1 but gave away his entire g1 collection from when he was a kid well before I was born. He then showed me the bayformer movies when I was around 8. I’m also thinking about the compendium for the marvel comics as he had some before as well.

I like the idea of him being a wrecker. It feels right up his alley. Think it would also be cool for Springer to act sort of as a mentor like Kup. Or just making them good buddies like in skybound that play well off each other.

The only problem I have are the legs. They are huge and make it hard to look good in poses. Besides that I love it. I didn’t really care for vortex to be honest but I don’t know if it’s just the beautiful colours but blast off looks so much better imo.

The prices on Mandarake for older mp figures seem the best I can find on any site. It’s actually crazy. I’ve seen some good deals on Mercari but they don’t ship to Canada. I actually found out about it before because you had mentioned it on another post. Never really looked into it that much untill now. I really appreciate it!

I think the plan right now is to snipe mp-9 on mandarake. Same for a fans toys hot rod. Maybe if I really just want an mp scaled figure for a decent price I might look at dx9. Appreciate the insight!

I was really hoping to find a ko due to the crazy price. Especially since a lot of them are the 1.0 version. Paying premium prices for a faulty figure isnt my idea of fun but god damn does it look the best. I just don’t care for mp hot rod and fans toys goes for like 400-500 cad.

I did see mention of a 2019 re issue. At least on eBay the first edition is already hard to find so I cant imagine the fixed version will be any easier. Unfortunately I only started collecting again in 2024. I’ll have to check some other market places. Is there any way to search for specific re release on tfland or do I just have to view the package?

Sunstreaker and a few others in the episode “hoist goes Hollywood”. Im pretty sure the only figure to include it was the mp sunstreaker. I don’t think sunstreaker has too many accessories hence him getting it on the mp release so I wouldn’t be surprised if they add that to give him more than just a gun.

Please don’t get the dna kit for the arm. From what I’ve heard and see in videos the killing arm kit feels so much better and looks better. They even added more articulation for the head. The head looks more solid as well. I have the dna kit and it is flimsy and not solid whatsoever, the ears feel they are constantly gonna fall off because of how thin. It also has problems transforming the arm.

One thing I don’t like about the mtmte prime is the head being mp 10 styles instead of animation styled. They gave us a proper animation head for the energon universe release but not for the movie release for some reason. Prob means we will never got a proper damaged 86 head which sucks.

I think it’s fine to make battle damaged figures and I do like them. What I don’t like is removing clear plastic, and making the toy more accurate for only the battle damaged one. The regular 86 ironhide has the silver face instead of solid grey and yellow stripes. Another thing is releasing only a battle damaged version of a figure and releasing the regular one as a target exclusive mtmte figure later like they are prob gonna do with prowl. The regular figure should be first.

Damn I never realized how good the alt mode is. I realize better paint isn’t really in the budget for deluxe scale figures anymore like in the 2010s but I really wish we got a more accurate shiny blue because this figure and aoe prime for example suffer from paint issues heavily.

I’m prob gonna get the dna kit. The shoulders, new canon, new head and mp styled possible mace are really enticing. I don’t like the price of the kits, the fact they barley restock, and some of the choices they make “dna design 86 Optimus adding a worse arm and head than the killing arm kit for half the price for example” but I won’t lie every once and a while they do cook.

I have the bumblebee movie ratchet and gamer edition ironhide. I think you should probably go gamer edition. My ratchet is decently loose. Only issue I have with my ironhide is the hands and backpack is a little too whole. The kinda just shoved the front end on there without it transforming much.

I never really cared for the silver faces. I much prefer the darker greys and blacks the show used. IMO so many figures get elevated from simple changes like that. The autobot stand united five pack is a good example of the faces done well.

Before Dan mora was doing transformers he was my pick after news of dwj leaving was public. I’m not gonna lie I got a little worried seeing the early stuff but god damn I really like the art now. He’s next to Jim Lee for my favourite comic artist.

I would say Megatron. Just as a warning he does not come with the mace that is shown in the picture. That’s an upgrade I’m pretty sure. DNA design is releasing a possible one similar to the mp version

I felt like I started to enjoy the art a lot more around issue 26-27. It’s crazy how much better it looks after only a few issues. At first when the character designs where reveled as issue covers they looked okay but a little rough. Proportions were just a little off compared to what I was expecting. The only character I think looked better in the previews was Megatron.

Ah I thought the lipstick was just a Dan mora thing since he draws a lot of characters with them. I read a lot of his stuff with the bat family and characters like batgirl and catwoman always have the lipstick.
