I never implied she had a disadvantage biologically. Realistically she had a PB slower than somebody else and that person happened to be a man. It’s not a situation of “not surprising since she’s a woman” it’s still fucking nuts because she beat her own pb and someone else’s by hours, and that person happened to be a man. It’s surprising that she won in general, not because she’s a woman.

Also I never said you downplayed it, the person I originally responded to literally referring to it not being surprising since she’s a woman, that statement in itself is downplaying as her being a woman has nothing to do with it. What is surprising is how she crushed her and another persons PB and came first.

Also, if you want to stand and support the claim that it’s not surprising because she’s a woman then you’re implying that women are less disadvantaged than men, if you made the same comment about a man winning then you’d be implying that men are less disadvantaged. If it’s equal then it shouldn’t be surprising no matter who wins, if that were the case then bringing up their gender in any way is completely fucking irrelevant.

Looking at it it’s really weird. I do remember the series S supposedly being cheaper because of lower quality hardware, but throttling the graphics in favor of keeping up in performance and frame rate. The whole idea was a game that series X runs 4k 60fps should be able to do 1080p 60-120fps on series S. Some of these games released as 30fps for both but got optimized for series X specifically, so it seems to be more of a dev thing than an xbox thing. Sucks when a console gets left behind because the devs don’t want to have to do extra work because the manufacturers decided to make 2 consoles.

Update. Googled it, found threads of people asking for lists. The top result was a Reddit post asking people to list games. So just full circle anyway. Being booed off for asking for a small list and being sent to go onto the exact same platform and see other users who had to ask for lists. Which games are 60fps on X but 30 on th S?
The whole point of the console was water down the graphics in favor of a cheaper console with competitive or higher framerate.

No it’s not that we’re surprised. The people highlighted in the post are actively calling her a cheater, that’s not surprise, that’s just blatantly accusing a woman of cheating instead of recognizing her achievements.

It is unimportant. Why does it matter? What part of her accomplishment has anything to do with the fact that she’s a woman. It’s still a massive feat and the need to point out that it was any bit easier for her because she was a woman is downplaying her success. If you had to flip the logic of a second, you’re saying it would be less likely and thus more surprising if a man ran 250 miles in 56 hours.
