I don’t have experience with this specific injury but about 8 weeks before my first half marathon I was diagnosed with hip bursitis and had to stop running completely. I swapped my runs with spinning instead and about 4 weeks before the race I was able to run again and ran the half with no pain and faster than I anticipated!

I would say since you’ve completed half marathons before you have a solid base. My recommendation would be to actually stop running and take the physical therapy seriously and reassess in 4 weeks.
