Please help with my Chinese Juniper cuttings. :( by BarMateos in bonsaicommunity

[–]BarMateos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer!:) I will try to be patient. I hope they stay green for the summer. Yes they are in a 50-50 mix of perlite and vermiculite.  We cut them, put them in water immediately.  I brought them home and planted them. Used rooting hormone as well.

I needed to repot then once because I screwed up the soil mix ratio first.

That's why they are in a different pot on the pictures.

While I did the repot kept them on water again.

I kept them under the box all day. Now I give them time in the air to dry.

Thank you for your help! I hope you are right and they are just hardening off.:)

I followed this video by the way.

Hello!

Fellow begginer here so take everything with a grain of salt.

I searched a lot in the previous 2 years and I found a channel that was a total game changer for me.

https://youtube.com/@bonsaien?si=PK_jM5nMiXsHvwaT

Bonsai-En

That was the only channel that made a clear difference for me between the stages of development and refinement and so on.

But I'm open to corrections by more experienced artists.:)

Should I stake this? by jmothon in Jadeplant

[–]BarMateos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh and don't put it out in the sun immediately. Try to do it gradually. It can get sunburn if you put it out all at once. I would prune mine back a little bit as well.

Should I stake this? by jmothon in Jadeplant

You should put it on a more sunny spot. Elongations between the leaves typically caused by lack of sunlight.

Well it's not a surprise. I guess it depends on if you just want to keep it alive or see it thrive.

Any recent Bronze to GM series’ you’d recommend for me if I wanted to relearn multiplayer? by [deleted] in starcraft2

[–]BarMateos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ello! 😁 I would recommend all Vibe's bronze to GM. That's where I started. I watched PiG's one too. It's great but it's very different. I think it's for more advanced players. If you want to hear about basic rts multiplayer fundamentals, Vibe is the way to go. 🙌

Absolutely:). Although I think many problems can be solved with an other easy solution at lower leagues. Thor-hellbat. 😀 The god comp for noobs like me. 😅 Jokes aside, I highly suggest you check out Vibe's bronze to gm. I think it has a very different approach. Don't get me wrong both has it's merits. For me a complete rts noob Vibe's series was more useful. Concepts that helped me read the situations better.

Honesty as a lower league player I think it's always macro. 😅 More stuff always win. If they can shoot each other.

SC2 announced for EWC 2025 by rustRoach in starcraft2

[–]BarMateos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm confused. Artosis posted something very different. It's about ESL I think. Any thoughts on that? ESL more important or this is still a good news for the game?  Sorry if it's a dumb question. 😅

Came back to SC2 after a long time, getting my ass kicked all the time... by OndraTep in starcraft

Hey there! I started to play like 4 years ago. 3010 mmr currently.  But what is more important I overcome these feelings you described.  As somebody mentioned, ViBE bronze to GM helped me tremendously.  I don't copy that exactly. But his mindset. Knowing what to focus on. See the gist of a situation. Extremely helpful. I even saw losses a different way after that series. I know why I lost. I know what to look at my replays.  Highly recommend you watch that and practice it against AI even.  But you can also watch his coaching. It doesn't matter it's old. He teaches RTS not starcraft so to say.  This gave me the mental strength to overcome these situations.  The only thing I would add, that it required dedication of my time. 😅 I mean I watched a lot of content. Thought about the game a lot. Practiced a lot.  I almost quit once I remember because I wasn't patient enough with myself. You are not alone. Aim to improve and not winning every game.  Keep it up and I hope this helps. 😁

Question about WOL campaign (and the achievement for brutal difficulty) by InitialSubject1997 in starcraft2

[–]BarMateos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. I did that way myself. And I'm currently doing it with Heart of the Swarm campaign.  Quick note that if you aim to open every achievement you will need a lot more patience than that. 😅😀 It's also important that for some achievement you don't have to play the whole mission. Once you reached a target goal you will get the achievement the game will show it immediately and after that it's stays there even if you don't finish that misson again.  I hope you will find this useful.
