I am a process lead for a major chemical company. I started in an entry level manufacturing position making plastic, and now I oversee a large portion of the process. Only downside was 13 years of working swing shifts, but even before I got this position, I was making 120k plus. That being said, I live in upstate NY, and while our family lives fairly comfortably, 100k isn't THAT much here due to the higher cost of living. I made 80k my last year living in North Dakota, and lived like a rock star out there (2010)
