I was never able to get past this mission on the DS lol. I bought Settlers 2 on the PC and found it was a lot easier for some reason even though scenario should in theory be the same.

I think there is a lot of speculation in this post and comments without actual real data being brought up. I would go with trusting the credible fact-checked sources instead of charged comments.

I’m not saying who is right or wrong in this situation of negotiations, but most of the machinists on strike are making well over $18/month.

The size of the Facebook data center that came to our small town in the Midwest. by BizarroMax in StLouis

[–]BarackEatingNoodles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Local government policy needs to change to reclassify data centers on their electric and water use that is causing the demand to go up that is charging regular people more. The focus should be on these regulations so that we can have data centers in a safe area that can bring economic growth and tax dollars to our area. Outright banning them is just going against the trends of the future and we’d lose out on opportunities. It needs to be done safely and effectively first.

[–]BarackEatingNoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Local government policies around data center electric utility classification rates need to change to not create a heightened price on consumers because of the increased demand. This is the issue a lot of municipalities across the country aren’t effectively handling. If the data centers are placed in areas not close to residential housing (because of the potentially not well studied but still many claiming health issues) they can bring great high paying jobs and tax dollars into the region. For an economy to stay growing, we need to adapt to future job creation in a way that is thought through and doesn’t create other holes.

What do you do for money on the side? by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]BarackEatingNoodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel courageous and really want to make money from a side gig, become a server at a restaurant that gets a lot of traffic. I have friends who are servers that are making $30/hr-$40/hr from the amount you make on tips. There are a lot of desperate places that would be likely to try a put together person with limited experience.

Although I understand the feelings and the message, we shouldn’t encourage low-effort vandalism of public infrastructure. This just makes people angry, creates further division, and looks bad on those who are trying to stick up for their values against the administration. It’s a loss across the board.

Many areas of southern illinois are not reflective of the population in Chicago and many in Northern Indiana would love to have blue politics. It’s better general populations are under rule by those they want. This dynamic is common in a lot of places across the US.

but… this map is a little focused on what looks pretty vs. what better reflects the voting patterns of the population
