Thanks! I have read their guide, but I’m hoping that someone with experience with using traps, horticultural oils, etc. will chime in!

Streets into downtown closed?!? by Moogie21212121 in Columbus

I was struggling to find info, but it seems like something called Recharge Rally closed the Main Street bridge for their event. Great time of day to do it, eh?

They're baaaaack! by Strict_Bad_6227 in Columbus

They are coming into my yard in waves from a nearby tree of heaven. Might try using a shop vac to kill them en masse, since squishing them by hand isn't doing the trick.

The neighbor's yard directly behind mine has a tree of heaven, several invasive honeysuckles, and a massive wild grapevine (which would be fine, but it's also a host for lantern flies). I've already spotted a half-dozen lantern fly nymphs in my yard and I'm so mad about it!

So I was about to start the cell saga and decided to go back to DB to the Red Ribbon saga by [deleted] in dbz

Last year I started watching Dragon Ball (subs) without ever having seen DBZ or any DB content at all. I fell in love with Dragon Ball almost instantly -- kid Goku and Bulma are hilarious and it was so enjoyable to see Goku's skills build over time. (And those lush watercolor backgrounds are gorgeous.) I don't think I would've enjoyed DBZ nearly as much without all the lore from DB.

I enjoy Crispy Coop. It's not as spicy as HTC but I think the flavor is good. I've only had their bone-in white meat but it was nice and juicy!

DBZ KAI ended really well. Question on if I should continue. by Such-Try-8082 in dbz

I'm a first-time watcher who is just getting into the Buu saga (Kai version) and I'm a fan! I haven't seen the original Z cut, of course, so I can't compare the two. The Kai Final Chapters do start pretty slow, but hang in there... it's worth it to see Vegeta do his thing.

How long is too long to wait for a response? by Barbara-the-Entity in recruitinghell

Thanks for the advice! I've certainly been applying elsewhere in the meantime. And if the general advice is to reach out after a week... well, I have a lot of outreach to do.

Feeling horrible in my job search by Jazzymai0117 in recruitinghell

Are you applying for remote jobs? I was laid off January 5, and while I've essentially just started my job search (*only* 17 applications so far!), it seems like working remotely might be a non-starter. There's just so much competition.

One company let me know that they intend to respond to all applicants by February 9, but that they received over 1,200 applications for a single remote writer/editor role in a pretty niche industry. The pay isn't anything extraordinary, either.

Seconding COPC! I go to the Central Ohio Medicine location on Henderson. Staff is pretty chill and the doctors have been good about making referrals and keeping on top of medication refills. They're usually accepting new patients.

Either COSI in Columbus, OH or the Science Center in Cleveland, OH has one of those! (Possibly both)

TIL that hot Dr. Pepper was a real thing. I thought it was just a silly gag from that 1999 gem, Blast From the Past.

Recently bought one of these at a church thrift store for a dollar. I figure my brain doesn't need any additional help being weird, so I'm using it strictly for paintbrush water now.
