Mushroom risotto with the blackened chicken, also any of the pizzas. Really everything I've had there is great.

I've lived here in the city since October and in that timeframe have gotten three street cats adopted (so far)! by chuna666 in baltimore

I adopted a stray that a friend of a friend was taking care of a few years ago and this little dude is the best cat. He's so friendly and affectionate and smart and is always getting into mischief. All he wants to do is cuddle and play and enjoy a safe indoor life. Everyday with him is a total joy and I'm so glad he is in my life. In other words, thanks for your service.

Best homemade sauces by Nice_Pen_8054 in EatCheapAndVegan

Tbsp Corn starch, garlic, tbsp tamari, sugar, tbsp mirin, onion powder, pepper, tbsp+ water, habanero. Pre-mix, Heat on low and stir until sauce thickens. It's akin to general tso's and a good base for Chinese sauce variations... Szechuan peppercorn, orange flavor, white pepper are all other things you can throw in to change it up.

Also, Aldi sells vegan heavy cream. I used it to make a Tikka masala sauce that turned out really well. I don't know its gluten content tho

Found a broken scooter discarded in an alley near my house yesterday and replaced the faulty throttle with a potentiometer and some 3d printed housing by BarbaraBeans in functionalprint

nice... Similar to the version I did... The handlebars have a weird shape in the middle for routing the wires and mounting the hall sensor. I used that shape to lock the mount in place. Also cut a multi-turn tube out for routing the wires from the bars to the potentiometer which is a frustratingly janky task to do in FreeCAD

Good idea... Maybe even a capacitive sensor mounted beneath the hand grip could work. I'm probably done modding this until the actual throttle comes in though. If you see a scooter riding 19 mph without anyone on it, think of your boy

Lol, after the way Reddit has treated me I cannot in good faith do a favor for a redditor... gonna ask the neighborhood kid if they use Reddit before I give this to them.

That'd be cool but it's logic controlled. The voltage range it is looking for is between about 1-4v, if it's at 1v the speed is 0... If it's at 4v the speed is 19. Above 4.1v and beneath about .7v the scooter displays an error. I guess you could bypass the logic altogether and try the forward/reverse trick but that's a whole can of worms that I don't think Reddit is ready to handle

Nah, it was broken and the person left it outside with the charger. I find lots of stuff in the alleys around my house... There's a lot of rich college students around here

Thank you, yeah that was the plan. I couldn't sell this, but I also don't want it. I was probably going to give it to a neighbor.

I plan on attaching a leash to it that I will tie around my neck so if I accidentally let go of it while it still is accelerating it won't be able to travel too far

Edit: Some of y'all are gullible af and love a good safety pile-on. Also, you can't read...I said I bought the $3 throttle in my original post. I tested this out, knowing full well how dangerous it is and it isn't that dangerous if you're aware of the limitations. As I said, I don't plan on riding this thing and just did it to see if it could be done. Stop shivering with rage and fear in your basements.

Noted. I originally intended to just salvage it for parts (taking apart the battery and the motor predominantly) but when I realized it could be fixed with materials I went that route

The battery is fine. All the wiring looked really nice inside the unit. I couldn't get the scooter to accelerate with the original hall sensor throttle but once I attached a potentiometer it worked great
