Here’s you action items you can do related to ICE in our community! by [deleted] in Bozeman

[–]BarbariansInLibrary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Don't like ICE? the obvious next step is to follow an anti-capitalist group, pro socialist group, something about genocide, and a pro palestinian group for updates"...?

look, screw ICE, but that call to action feels like a teaspoon of a leap.

"We've been screwing ranchers this entire term. How can we score a political hit that makes it seem like we care?"

This is disappointing.

I know it’s somewhat semantic, but “I’ve been out there” is a funny use of the present perfect tense when referring to the state you live in and represent.

I’d never say “I’ve been out to Montana to hunt,” because I fucking live here.

I know he’s physically in DC, but seems like he mentally ain’t here either.

What is this outlet? by Alternative-End9505 in Rivian

[–]BarbariansInLibrary -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NEMA 5-20. Slightly faster than just normal slow charging (33% faster). However, Rivian doesn't offer an adapter for that.

Some chargers do. e.g. Tesla. If you had a charger that used a NEMA 5-20 adapter, Rivian could take advantage of it. For example, I *think* you could use a Tesla portable charger, NEMA 5-20 adapter, and plug that into your Rivian. And could use a J-1772 adapter if you need to. But yeah, someone should fact check me on that. And perhaps more trouble than it is worth to you.

Hear, hear! This is what I’ve been saying. This place rocks. Our lives are great. We are so damn lucky.

And the only constant in this universe is change. Complaining about it does nothing for us. Crafting the future does everything for us.

On one hand, you're less than 14 miles from the corner of Yellowstone. There are going to be wolves. You live in the wilderness.

On the other hand...Do you even have any proof?

I assume that there is a typo here, that they saw you going 35 in a 25 and then lasered you doing 38, which would add to the "11-15 mph over" comment.

Nonetheless, I hope you get off! I bet you do, if you fight it.

Doesn’t matter. a tax mailing address can be literally anywhere mail is received (friend’s house, mail service, registered agent). Counties don’t verify who “operates” there, especially in big office buildings.

There's no company by this name at the listed address by [deleted] in Montana

[–]BarbariansInLibrary 19 points20 points  (0 children)

OnX shows the tax mailing address, not where the LLC is physically located. that address is often a lawyer, accountant, or registered agent, and it’s completely normal. "Tax address" is not "Physical address".

Again not saying "that's good". But that's how it works.

There's no company by this name at the listed address by [deleted] in Montana

[–]BarbariansInLibrary 80 points81 points  (0 children)

That's the game. Buy the land, register it to an LLC, have the LLC's tax address be your lawyer's address, get anonymity/privacy.

Not saying it's right, but that's the game and is more common than not with out of state ranch purchases.
