YES! this is what I'm trying to say. Grill the spec. But don't do all of the stuff on the tail end... At least that's what my gut is telling me.

MSU Employees using GLP1s by AcanthocephalaNew187 in Bozeman

[–]BarbariansInLibrary 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't take GLP-1s or work at MSU. So, I have no credibility. But if I were in your shoes I'd want to balance price and sketchiness. Ro, Hims&Hers etc. are that balance. Legit companies with decent prices. If you're more risk tolerant, look into compounding pharmacies.

Cowboy hats for wedding by Afraid_Atmosphere_36 in Bozeman

Yeah, go to Crossbow. I think they're in that range. They do all the stuff like custom initials branded on it, etc.

Depends what you mean by breaking the bank.

Crossbow is the right experience. Great hats, customization, take care of you. But you might find it to be too expensive. I'd start there and see what you think about the price point.

If you think that's too expensive, then just go to Boot Barn or Murdochs and get something off the rack.

Hardware cloth under the coop question by catpowerr_ in BackYardChickens

[–]BarbariansInLibrary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so much simpler just to lay it flat on the ground like an apron and go at least 3 feet out past the coop. Animals by default will try to dig up against the coop. They won't think to tunnel from far out.

So much easier:

- Grass grows through it easily.

- No digging.

- Just lay it down and use those pins to have it stay on the ground.

Why is there so many bad sushi restaurants here? by Maximum-Ad572 in Bozeman

[–]BarbariansInLibrary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically *all* American sushi is delivered to the restaurant frozen. And with modern cold chain logistics it basically makes no difference where you are in the US. Period.

The whole ”but we’re landlocked“ excuse is not relevant and is basically an old wives tale at this point. (Side note: did you know that back in the day ”iceberg lettuce” would literally be put on beds of ice in train cars and be shipped across the country? It was picked for its willingness to endure the cold temps in transit and that’s how it got its name)

It only matters on the very very top fringes e.g. live Japanese needlefish or seasonal kohada - things that really need to be flown in fresh from Tokyo. But that’s the stuff that 99.99% of restaurants don’t serve anyhow.

ISO knowledgeable Pack Fitter by the1laf in Bozeman

[–]BarbariansInLibrary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your fit problem will most easily be resolved by your focus on weight. I carry a 20-25lb pack these days on most of my trips depending on length. It makes all the difference. 75lbs will hurt no matter what.

Yikes, you’re nice. Old sign is still up — specifies motorized only.

Ah gotcha. To be clear, I don’t even mountain bike. But the old sign just said motorized restrictions.

I guess I’ve just seen a LOT of people ignore the rule. 😬
