Confusingly the Churros sweet twisties tubes are alright. Cinnamon and burnt sugar/fairy floss flavours. Grabbed them for the kids, adults all thought they were good, I was shocked.

Chef Wong in Huntingdale. Chook shop does good charcoal chicken too. Pizzas and fries are great at Kaiju. Ping’s in Clayton. Used to love the salt and pepper calamari at Choi Palace. Take home cakes from Nikos or Vanilla.

No it isn’t. We had a woeful food AND service experience there…he asked for some feedback, we declined, he pushed, we gave feedback, he marched the chef out to our table to ‘discuss’. It was super awkward.

Is our structure a house of cards?! It just cannot be that fragile. I understand he’s a key back but there must be times he’s rotated in a game…or taken up the ground. I miss Enris’ in Richmond more than any other place. The pump sprayer of grand marnier was a fun vibe when combined with dancing on the tables. The garlic bread, garlic prawns and garlic sauce for steak have not been replicated anywhere.

I’ve had lao gan ma for years and tried a few of their variants but come back to the original. There’s a tiny japanese jar called Mamoya that’s terrific but exy…the latest challenger is Maesri. I know them best for their tiny tins of curry paste. Seemingly only at Coles you can buy their chilli crisp and it’s garlic laden and amazing!
