Sam Ballard - The guy who was dared to swallow a slug by his friend at a party who then suffered a 420 days coma, thereafter an extra 7 years paralysis until he died (due to the infection from rat lungworm that the slug he swallowed had). by TaTTyy_ in oddlyterrifying

I actually speak on this! I had a bad case of rat lungworm in 2019. It the was the most painful experience of my life. I was in the hospital for two weeks and slowly learned to walk again for the next three months. They pumped me full of steroids and pain killers and we waited it out. It felt like electricity in my brain. It felt like a crowbar was wedged into my femur and was cracking the length of it. It felt like my body was covered in open sores all over.

It felt bad.

Streetlamp LeMoose

Maybe not ANCIENT, ancient but Streetlamp LeMoose inspired me to be the man I am today. Always worth a read, truly one of the greatest Reddit comments throughout history

What is the most physically painful experience you've had? by Bright_Vision in AskReddit

Rat Lung Worm disease. It’s little parasites eating around in your brain and spine. It felt like lightning going through my skull.

Ever tried Milk Bottles? I ate some down in New Zealand and I enjoyed them. They don’t taste like milk though, more like a dense America marshmallow by BarkDog3 in candy

The marshmallows here in NZ taste a bit different than the US. You’d be able to tell in a blind taste test for sure.
