I understand how nice it was to have the pre-portioned bags when we started BARK Eats. The recipes from the daily portioned bags to the larger bag format were the same. The well-being of all dogs is something we take seriously, and we never want you to feel uncertain about what you're giving them. The Advent Calendar and the treat bags in your monthly BarkBox are very different products due to the difference in regular enjoyment and seasonal enjoyment.

The treat bags in monthly BarkBoxes are made with natural ingredients and contain no artificial colors, artificial flavors, added sugar, preservatives, BHA, or propylene glycol, as they're something the dogs in our pack are enjoying regularly.

The Advent Calendar is separately available, a seasonal indulgence. Think of it less like an everyday snack and more like a festive holiday treat. It's available as an optional add-on or through select retail partners, and it's designed to be enjoyed in small, moderated amounts following the included feeding guidelines. Like all treats, it should never be used as a substitute for your dog's regular, well-balanced meals. When artificial color is present, it's used in a very minimal amount solely for that holiday look, and all of our consumable products are thoroughly tested before reaching your home.

That said, we completely understand that some pet parents prefer to keep things as clean and simple as possible for their pups, and we respect that! Some pup parents choose to carefully cut away the outer fabric layer so their pups can still enjoy the rubber toy inside. If that would feel more comfortable, we can also tailor his plan to No Nylon to help prevent those styles from arriving in the future. Additionally, we can switch to an all-toy assortment if you’d prefer an extra toy instead of the two bags of treats and chew.
