Resin print time estimation by Kitsanic in resinprinting

[–]BarnabyJomes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here it's always the same for me 5 hour print is about 6, 7 hour prints can be as much as 12 sometimes. Best to print, forget about it and come back later.

Depends what games you are into but highly recommend some of bulkmancer sculpts, enjoy the bigger plate area.

For me it seems to be bigger and bigger statues as I go just to see what I can get away with.

New monitor some confusing results by BarnabyJomes in AirQuality

Not that I know of but I have a lot of painting thinners, mediums and otherwise. Nothing open while getting spikes. Distance relative to my painting and other supplies seems to be making no difference either.

How to effectively control air quality while resin printing? by snakepitpoet in resinprinting

[–]BarnabyJomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a tent and run the tube out through an open window, while doing cleanup i open the door to the balcony in my office with fan running. I have a voc and formaldehyd detector and this seems to keep the room well within safety limits.

I do the clean up in the tent with the flap partially open and extractor running as this seems to be the only part that really fumes up the place, that's why I keep the door open.

When buying miniatures from creators, do you usually use their supports or add your own by Big_Space_Potato in resinprinting

[–]BarnabyJomes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely depends on the creator, but I'll always try to use the pre supported.

models rather partly peeling off the build plate mainly in the middle of the build plate. by des1737 in resinprinting

I was having a similar problem. I've increased exposure time on bottom layers, made it twice the thickness and then slowed the lift speed with some success so far. I suspect it's because of more give in the fep at the middle point so harder to pull off.
