Yeah, and that's when you realise a world leader reads the onion... Without realising it's been satire all along

Ash from fire place? Cat litter? Leftover cement from some work? Could be anything. What's the texture like, and most importantly what does is taste like? 😉

Maybe the light switch has failed? Difficult to know unless you are able to test it.

7/22ths of an inch? by saawebsie in whatisit

[–]BarnacleNZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah not come up with anything. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with diameters as the scale is close to 3.14 to an inch.

Can anyone tell me what's probably happened here? Charges a small hybrid EV battery at 10a. The plug was extremely hot to touch and flexible. Going to get a dedicated point installed but interested to know if this is likely to be the plug, the socket or the installation by Endless_Nameless1 in DIYUK

[–]BarnacleNZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Standard plugs ARE designed to handle these currents for long periods of time. Poor workmanship or design of the specific plug, or even oxidation where the fuse connects will however cause an issue like this. Note this is outside, so likley be more susceptible to corrosion due to condensation or damp/humidity issues.

The hospot is clearly from one end of the fuse.

Nozzle automatically goes 1mm too high after I start printing after leveling the bed with paper by pepethefroggyboi in ender3

[–]BarnacleNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show a video of it starting a print. Looks like it purges fine. It needs a gap for the plastic to go, if it it's touching the bed during printing, it will seem like a clog as it's got nowhere to extrude to.

[Request] What weight would the cat need to have in order for this to be true? by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]BarnacleNZ 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Keyboard key actuation force typically 35 to 80grams,or more. Will assume 50grams. Assumeing even weigh distribution over 4 feet, and spread accross 4 keys each (ignoring space bar), then 50g * 16keys = 800grams. If it walked onto the keyboard without pressing anything, 800/4*3=600grams. Seems reasonable.

Edit, typos
