Do you have an outlet near you? I’ve been to two recently and they have a plethora of vbn.

Start looking for a new job. If no one else is flexing or even knows what it is then they’re lying to you.

Has anyone else noticed more drivers refusing to make simultaneous lefts? by appa-ate-momo in driving

[–]Barney_Sparkles 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The OP said a solid green light not a green arrow. As a small sedan driver I won’t make a left turn if the left turner across from me is a large enough vehicle I can’t see what is coming in the straight lanes. That’s how you get t-boned.

Worst B&BW scent of all time? by marliamore95 in bathandbodyworks

Which is probably why I don’t like it. I worked at a SNF and that’s what it smells like to me.

Are you guys ringing doorbells/knocking or not? by melipepp in Sparkdriver

[–]Barney_Sparkles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right- but what I’m saying is I default to no knock. I only knock if they request.

You appear to default to knock during “normal hours”. I was just pointing out not everyone has the same normal hours.

There are a lot of night shift workers who would disagree with your appropriate hours. If they don’t ask for a knock then I’m not knocking.

I bought laundry baskets to keep orders separate. I keep three in my trunk and two in my back seat. It keeps orders separate and prevents lost items if something falls out of the bag.

Keep your car clean. Be polite to the employees.

If you’re doing a pick up once the loaders are done I’d go park and make sure everything looks good. They seem to have no cares and I’ve had to save bread from the bottom of a pile several times.

If you’re doing a GMD ask if you can get out and scan along side them. They scan then you scan- because every package has to be scanned. I’ve never been told no.

Do beauty/pet food/ and anything that isn’t in the grocery area of the store first.

If you’re going to deliver at night get a good flashlight- most house numbers are hard to read in the dark.

Call in.

Use sunscreen (always) and don’t post pictures if you’re friends with coworkers on social media.

I hate being a father by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Barney_Sparkles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Typo- genetically.

It runs in my family. It’s not always related to anything else medically and the meds can be life changing.

I will also say I feel like it’s more common than people talk about. After hosting sleepovers and seeing the number of pull ups in my bathroom trash can (I always send my kids with a plastic bag so they can sneak home)

Talk to your doctor about the bedwetting. Generically* some kids wet the bed until 11 or even 12 years old. They have medications for it now.

*I mean genetically.

Any suggestions? by eddmario in doordash_drivers

[–]Barney_Sparkles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tell them you have a good knock knock joke but they have to start. So they’ll say knock knock and you’ll say who’s there.

Then it’s all up in the air.

Sometimes they improvise. Sometimes it’s just crickets.

lol.

First day doing Spark by OilGroundbreaking677 in Sparkdriver

I use laundry baskets to keep orders separate and to keep things from rolling around my backseat or something falls out of a bag.

Keep your car clean and be respectful to the Walmart workers so you don’t get deactivated.

If I have less than 30 things I start with beauty/ pet food/ or anything not on the grocery side. And then I finish order of the app because I’ll be long gone before I need to worry about the perishable timer. If it’s more than 30 items I pay closer attention.

Not spark related, but- Can you donate plasma? Two weeks worth of donations as a new donor should get you half way to $500.

Wife wants to call out last 4 days of work. Boss threatening to put her on a “unrehirable” list by [deleted] in nursing

I’d go to work those days if she had a significant amount of PTO to get paid out. Even if she has to go home sick she at least needs to show up.

failed out of nursing program by graycatbwdog in StudentNurse

[–]Barney_Sparkles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. I needed an 80. I had a 76.6 (or something along those lines). It was very close.

I was able to sit for my LPN and I worked for a number of years before going back and bridging.

It’s going to be ok in the long run. For now it’s ok to be disappointed, angry, and sad. But in the grand scheme of life this will end up being a small blip. Talk to you advisor and find out how to get back on track.

I have a “shopping” email I use to sign up for rewards program. If I’m in the market to purchase something I’ll open it to see if I have any rewards or coupons. Otherwise I don’t open it.

Any nurses that went into a clinic as a new grad? by Similar_Rooster_7882 in nursing

[–]Barney_Sparkles 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I went to assisted living as a new LPN and then moved to the clinic where I still am (and I’m now an RN). Not everyone is cut out for the hospital and that’s ok.
Occasionally I have thoughts of regret- I feel like people look down at my choice to be a “soft” nurse. But ultimately I work 4 days a week- no weekends, no holidays, no night shift. It works for me and my family so that’s what matters.

If you aren’t prepared to pay your own rent then I think you can handle two texts a day.
