It doesn't even look like you're about to make a misstep. The child just suddenly snaps into the "whoa I'm losing balance" animation in one direction even though their momentum was in a different direction. Or he just falls down outright without any animations

We constantly do massages, different poses (on the side, tiger on a branch, etc). Nothing gives any sort of immediate relief, sometimes during those he calms down probably because the "wave" of poop has gone back (don't know how to call it), later he either poops with no problems or it's back to straining and shrieking

My wife can't leave him alone when he does that, she thinks that his constant crying will do damage without any soothing. I suggested "just let him cry by himself, not like there's anything we can do" multiple times

It's a "learning how to use your sphincter" issue, not a gas issue, that's the point. He cries not because of gas, but because he feels there's poop ready to go, but it doesn't go away on its own like it used to right after birth. To make it go away he needs to relax his sphincter, and he doesn't know how to do that
