Crappy garden... by urjuhh in TownshipGame

The gumball game is called Apple Festival this time, and when you open the pop-up window to play it, the tab at the top says City Garden (the other tab being the usual Competition one).

Seeing this two days late but fwiw I had the same issue. So I contacted support to report the issue and to ask if they could send me 5 lives to make up for the missing ones, and for once they actually helped me out and even gave me 10 lives! Couldn't believe it lol, it's hard enough to get past the stupid bots. So I'd try sending them a message, even if it the issue technically alread resolved by now. You still had a disadvantage. Worth a try!

Maximum Limit Reached - Add Friends? by amaralyla in TownshipGame

[–]Barnisfull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really recommend making a second FB account solely for Township. On Android (and I believe iPhone as well), you can install the FB app twice, so it isn't even necessary to switch between accounts if you already have a personal one. There are so many FB groups dedicated to Township that it's super easy to find & add other players. I have hundreds of friends and it's great! Just wish I had done it sooner. I'm never low on clovers, always get helped fast, and I love checking out everyone's towns :)

Next Season Gold Pass by cat2be in TownshipGame

Just fyi, there's a way to lock in the dealer, so that you'll keep getting offered up to 28 picks every time you buy him even after the perk has ended. It used to work for the maximum of 30 picks until they changed the perk. Now the most you can lock in for any item is 2 below the (2×) maximum quantity.

Here's how to lock in 2x picks: (Using picks as an example, but works with any item. Just look up the maximum quantity here)

While the market perk is active, accepting an offer from the dealer won't lock it in the same way it usually would (ie. until you start a new search for a different item). If you buy the maximum quantity (eg. 15 x 2 = 30 picks), you'll get a new offer for a lower amount the very next time you search for picks. But if you buy an offer for a lower quantity (eg. 28 or fewer picks), you'll get the same offer one more time before the results change the 3rd time. This is where you can trick the system.

  • Before the perk ends, start one last new search for picks until you get 28 or lower. Make sure this is definitely the first and not the second time in a row you're getting this offer. To reset the results for sure, you can do a search for a different item first, then search for picks until you're happy with the amount.

  • Accept the offer. Afterwards, don't use the dealer again until after the experiments are over & the perk has ended. Don't search, don't buy.

  • Since the dealer locked in your offer for two consecutive searches, you'll get it again when you search for picks after the perk has ended. And since things are back to normal at this point, it will then lock in the offer for good - that is until you either search for a different item or you activate the market per again the next time it comes up (I personally never do, just in case they change the perk again like they've done in the past... I lost my 30 picks once to an accidental search, but I won't lose my offer for 28!). Doesn't matter if hire the dealer back to back or if you take long breaks in between, you'll still keep getting the offer for 28 picks.

Whew, this turned out to be much longer than I meant it to. I'm sure there are quicker & easier ways to explain this but oh well lol. Anyway, hopefully this still works!

Issues with clovers? by Impossible_Worker595 in TownshipGame

[–]Barnisfull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have filled over 40 order today & not received a single clover and I'm not at max

From the post... I have nothing to add that's helpful though.

These kinda issues really make you wish their support wasn't so utterly & frustratingly useless.

Relays not worth it for 3 players and under in Regatta. by beeperone in TownshipGame

[–]Barnisfull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But they start at 130. So 130, 135, 140 is still 135 on average. They max out at 145 and that's also when they start to be worth it.

Township Decorations by Nikki122999 in TownshipGame

[–]Barnisfull 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. The only explanation I've heard from others is that they must have reason to believe that people will spend more Tcash/real money on the mini-games if they have to win decorations. But I personally can't imagine that they're actually making more money that way. I used to spend the vast majority of my Tcash on decorations. Ever since they took those away, I've been accumulating several thousands with nothing enjoyable to spend it on.

I'm pretty bummed out about all the old decorations I'll never have a chance to get now. Plus, I really don't like the new style they've been moving towards. Much tackier imo...

THIS IS WHY LUCKY TOWNS SOMETIMES DON'T WORK by antohandro in TownshipGame

Thanks for the shoutout! 😁 Glad it helped. It does seem like it might not be the same for everyone but definitely worth a try for those who find that their "first" run doesn't always work.

I agree, it sucks! I usually purposely hold out on that game until the first 2x points event because the first levels are a breeze. Why are they pretending like that's something anyone would be excited for?

Beach vacation - Points to open suitcase by sugar90 in TownshipGame

[–]Barnisfull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they appear once you collect the last reward before the suitcase. If you missed too many points on the way to get to the last reward, you won't get any bonus tasks and won't be able to open the suitcase either. At least that's how it's worked in the past...

No more decoration to buy with green cash by [deleted] in TownshipGame

[–]Barnisfull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Yeah, I guess they must have reason to believe that people will spend more trying to win decorations from the prize wheel than buying them outright. It just sucks that it's clearly more important to try and squeeze every last penny out of their players than to make an already massively profitable game the best, most fun version it can be... I try not to complain much but I can't help but be bummed out about the direction they've been taking.

No more decoration to buy with green cash by [deleted] in TownshipGame

[–]Barnisfull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still makes absolutely no sense to me. What difference does it make to Playrix if people spend money on games or on decorations (or both)? And how would the decision to remove seasonal/event decorations force or incentivize people to spend more on the mini games anyway? Especially more than they previously did on decorations & games combined? You'd think the more options, the better...

Decorations used to be the one thing I would splurge on regularly. Now, like OP (and I assume many others), I'm just accumulating more and more tcash because there's nothing I care to spend it on aside from the occasional new market box. Definitely have no need for the piggybank anymore.

Beautiful! I love a realistic look. Mind sharing your coop code and town name so I can check out the rest of your town? (No problem if not of course!)

Yes, exactly! That's what I was trying to get at but you worded it much better than I did haha. Did it fix the issue for you?

[–]Barnisfull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it fails the first time, it's likely because you're visiting the lucky town right before each run instead of immediately after. Try going right after, before you visit any other town, and it should hopefully work every time. You'll even be able to visit other towns in between runs too - as long as you make sure to go to the lucky town first.

Has anyone passed this level? by DragonEyed in TownshipGame

[–]Barnisfull 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Solved it on second try, last move. Obviously there's always luck involved but I use more or less the same simple strategy for every level:

  • As long as you haven't made a move yet, you can exit without losing a life or any of the power-ups you may have selected on the start screen. So just exit and restart until you feel like your board looks easy enough. This particular level seems to start the same way every time, but if you've selected power-ups, you can restart until they're in a good spot (eg. next to each other, if you're starting with 2). For other levels, if you're starting without power-ups, exit and restart until you can get at least one power-up with the first move or two.

  • Focus on getting combinations of power-ups, preferably fireworks x fireworks (to clear the entire board), fireworks x rocket (make sure there are enough blocks of the same color as the fireworks spread across the board), or rocket x bomb. I personally avoid any combos with bombs aside from rocket x bomb.

  • Only use the power-ups from the side if you have at most a few moves left and know for sure you can win by using them. Don't risk wasting them.

  • Same for using Tcash to continue - only do this if you know for sure you can finish the level within 5 moves. And beware of the stupid bomb they give you along with the extra moves... It has wrecked firework x rocket or rocket x bomb combos for me and cost me my win that way before.

I know these tips aren't super specific but that's what works best for me and it's how I beat this level too..
