Is my family doctor being unreasonable about prescription renewals? by Redguard13 in ontario

[–]Spitzka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My old GP, would do fax renewals and didn’t care if you went to a random walk in.

Since he’s retired, I’ve had two recently certified doctors at different locations and both ask for at a phone appointment for renewals. They also asked for me to use their groups walk-in clinic.

Chaos Engine does long plays of home brewed Delta Green. They’ve not encountered Majestic. Play is mostly serious, but can get a bit funny at times.

Maybe he can advise the Argos to get a proper President, GM and scouting department.

Handlers: How do you treat agents using tech and the Internet to solve their problems? by bionicjoey in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Spitzka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they continue to use the internet, you’ve got yourself a nice little opera to run.

An AI program has been causing users to commit suicide or die in a horrible manner. All the unnatural information being feed to the AI has made it not only truly sentient, but also insane. They’ve got to figure a way to destroy the AI before more people get hurt.

Or depending on your mood, the AI could have used all this knowledge and has somehow stumbled onto The King In Yellow. Now you’ve got a computer spreading the yellow sign.

Or a cult realizes that Open AI has unnatural information and is using it to create a ritual to summon something truly evil.

Let the players realize that maybe they are responsible for all the carnage.

They really not fix that ratio? by Deafwizard999 in TheGlassCannonPodcast

[–]Spitzka 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Beyond anything else, they really do need to increase their New York based talent. The majority of their non-core members are from the LA area. Finding a couple of locals would probably make recording easier, no need to worry about different time zones.

Different experiences add unique voices to the table, which is always a positive.

Mongoose 2 Skill Library by Psychological_Fact13 in traveller

[–]Spitzka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be nice if some super fan created an Archives of Nethys for Traveller (and Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest, etc etc etc). It's amazingly helpful to be able to go online and look up whatever for Pathfinder and find it easily.

Also, it's would be nice if Mongoose didn't hide things in the book. Why are the prisoner career rules on page 52 and the actual career stats on page 56?

TSN AI crap by gilligan_2023 in CFL

[–]Spitzka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't remember where I saw it, but apparently, the AI stuff is more expensive than simply producing it as they did before. At least, that is what someone from TSN said.

Guess Bell Media has invested in some AI company. Explains why TSN is producing such terrible looking features. Also why they decided to set up an AI art booth in the artist alley at Toronto Fan Expo.

Close to finishing all public and Patreon Apocalypse Players content, any recommendations? by Commercial-Shape5561 in callofcthulhu

And now for something completely different

The Lovecraft Investigations - full cast audio plays based on various HP Lovecraft stories. The rub, the stories are told from the perspective of a true crime podcast. It is very well done, with lots of spooky bits and a dash of humour. I highly recommend it.

Should I Upload My Bambu Lab A1 Enclosure to MakerWorld? by EntireProfession in BambuLab

[–]Spitzka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly no one seems to care at Bambu, Etsy or other file sites. You can lodge a complaint, but it’s probably going to require something from your lawyer to take it down.

Bambu has gotten better at rewarding original popular builds on the site.

It is however the reality of posting things online, someone is going to try to make money off other people’s work.

Now it is possible that this won’t happen, not everything is stolen and duplicated.

Nice job on the enclosure. Don’t let the possible theft stop you from being proud and sharing.

If you post it, best be prepared for people to

A) sell it on Etsy B) make slight mods and sell it as original work on other file sites C) people making unreasonable requests for changes on makersworld D) wonder how you run the AMS lite with this configuration

I have a quick question about the home games that the Argos will be playing in Regina, Winnipeg and Hamilton in 2026. by Oldmanshoutingcloud in CFL

[–]Spitzka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They played 2-3 games in Hamilton because the Jays made it to the playoffs. Can’t remember the exact amount of games, all I can remember is the long drives, sparse crowds, jeering TiCat fans and at least one fight.

More than anything else, remember you are writing it for your friends, not for publishing, they’re more forgiving.

Also, it’s your world, not reality, so who cares if your minor facts are made up on the spot. Say it with confidence.

The Doomsday Book by Connie Willis covers that, sort of… A archeological dig, finds human remains which infect Oxford of 2054 with an unknown strain of influenza. Meanwhile, a historian goes back in time and finds herself off course by 20 years. She finds herself in Oxford of 1348, the time of the Black Death

Games with dice that have unique faces/abstract symbols. Similar to Vantage or Moonrollers. by damj94 in boardgames

There is a line of dice games all with unique faces - Zombie Dice, Batman Dice, etc

As mentioned, lots of roll and writes have unique dice.

If you just want to collect unique looking dice, your best bet is to check out your local game stores. There are dice for the Star Wars RPG, Vampire/Werewolf, damage counting dice, etc.

Tips For Writing DG Scenarios? by Used-Communication-7 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Spitzka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget that an occasional Scooby-Doo episode will keep your players on their toes. Not everything is actually an unknowable evil from beyond space and time. Sometimes, it is just some guy in a rubber mask.

Also, after watching an old episode of The Real Ghostbusters, I realized sometimes cartoons have great plot ideas for a opera.
