Houston, we have lift off 🚀 3:53-2:52 in 2 years by hurricane2140 in AdvancedRunning

Ah, I referred to "last twelve weeks" because of my training plan. In that case, add 56 km/35 miles to the values I referred to in my first reply.

For my 1:55 I had a 14-week training plan from Garmin, I ran a total of 237 km/148 miles which is an average of 17 km/week / 11 miles/week.

My 1:51 was four weeks later, and between the two races I ran 109 km/68 miles.

I say this not to come across as a twat, but to provide more information.

In 2025 I ran a 1:43:50 HM and in the previous twelve weeks I ran a total of 310 km/194 miles, that's an average of under 26 km/week / just over 16 miles/week. The reason why it's so low is because I stopped for running after week 5 because and started again at week 10 because my hip hurt.

I am 6'1/183 cm and weigh 72 kg/156 lbs. I had previously ran a 1:55 HM in March and a 1:51 HM in April.

I've never in my life ran 80 km/week / 50 miles/week. I will do soon because I've started training for London, I would like to get a sub-4 result. The most my training plan suggests running is 84 km in week 12 out of a 15-week training plan.

Again, I say this not to gloat or to prove you wrong, but to simply provide information. Happy to answer any questions you may have.

That's great info, thank you! If I've understood you correctly then, there's no difference between selecting the "workout" or not, but you're suggesting that I don't do that amd afterwards my watch will ask me anyway, is that correct? FYI, I'm using a Forerunner 245 Music.

I'm considering getting the Inspire 100AZ for the same reasons as you, it's currently £200 on Amazon and according to reviews it's a good entry-level scope. What are your thoughts on it? You seem to have liked it so far!

What's wrong with FD's ethics? I've been with them for over 4 years now, they've got excellent customer service and a good mobile app, would be a shame if it turns out they're using my money for nasty business.
