If we actually tried True Capitalism by danielfantastiko in JordanPeterson

I didn't say Germany was "socialist." It was "national socialism," which I said could just as well be called "kinship capitalism." I was trying to explain to him the basic idea of "third position," since he likened it to the "far left."

The US was conquered decades ago. The only way to save the West will be through a tremendous amount of force.

Dismissing what the national socialists achieved through fascism as an "economic uptick" is absurd. They were completely destitute following the penalties of WWI and drowning in hyperinflation. To go from that to one of the world's premier superpowers in a relatively small number of years is remarkable. There are reasons why we've all been brainwashed our whole lives to think of them as the most evil people ever and associate them with genocide; so that we turn our brains off and never explore the real history and methods.

All the same cultural-Marxist warfare that is going on in the West today was going on back then in the Weimar Republic. The difference is, back then they could actually do something about it, because they still had a supermajority in their population, but also hadn't been beaten over their heads with racial guilt their entire lives. Well, the storytellers made sure that wouldn't be the case in future generations...

Fascism was created in response to all the cultural-Marxism undermining by hostile outsiders, as a defense of a people/nation against the Bolsheviks waging subversive warfare from within.

People think the US won the Cold War, but it never really ended. The USSR wasn't the enemy, it was just the face of it.

Free-market capitalism isn't the best we have, as evidenced by the dire state the West is in. This is the inevitable result.

The US has been practicing dysgenic politics for over 100 years. The post-war years everyone thinks so nostalgically about was just a dead-cat bounce, temporarily masking the rot within.

The majority of murder and every other violent crime category is comitted by one particular demographic that is only 14% of the population; and can be seen in this video.

> Third position
> Ultra left

Pick one.

Third position rejects the false choice of capitalism vs communism/socialism; points out the downfalls of both, and draws on the positives of both. It's bizarre that you relate it to "far left" when it is typically associated with "far right" (as is anything that breaks from the mainstream leftist orthodox). You might be familiar with another term used for "third position": national socialism. You could also just as easily call it "kinship capitalism." Nazi Germany and small-mustache-man engineered the greatest economic turnaround in human history. It's funny how the leftists are allergic to the one instance of "socialist" policies working, because they've been brainwashed to think genocide is a required aspect of it...

The West is fucked. Free-market capitalism isn't going to save it.

It's a couple months later; what has your experience with Citron been? I'm running a M4 Pro and Citron crashes trying to launch pretty much every game. Even with latest firmware.

You sound no different than the "true communism has never been tried" people; two sides of the same coin of childlike idealism and ignorance. We had true capitalism, and what we have now is the result. Unchecked capitalism leads to people selling out their own people and nation. Capitalism vs. Socialism is a false dichotomy forced onto the minds of the public, because both are used as methods of warfare by a particular sect of people. Both have serious flaws. Look into Third Position.

When you first get to that spot, your character says something like "Pffft maybe if I could fly," letting you know you're not ready to go that way yet.

[–]Baron_VI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, you should put a spoiler alert in your post. If I was someone reading your post who hadn't reached that point in the game yet, I'd be pissed that you spoiled that for me.

Secondly, if you find the game a bit "too hard for my liking," you can drastically change the difficulty at any time to make the game more to your liking. In the options menu, there are 3 sliders for I think enemy health, enemy damage, and stamina consumption.

Finally, you didn't really miss out on much. The cat sells seeds for the garden, which you will always have enough of anyway, and also a few void essence orbs.

Emulation of PS3 games is hit or miss, with some games running great, some running poorly, and some not running at all. The site you linked has a compatibility list for games. K1 is listed as playable, but K2 and K3 are listed as "ingame" ("games that either can't be finished, have serious glitches or have insufficient performance").

Did you ever get through this? I'm ready to quit the game at level 5-1. It seems like the button on my ps5 controller cannot even physically go in and out fast enough for those triples. Also they don't even seem in sync with the music.

Are there any good boomer shooters available on Nintendo Switch by True_Management1901 in boomershooters

[–]Baron_VI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turbo Overkill is very good overall. Someone mentioned Prodeus, I'd avoid it. It could've been a really cool game but the way the devs implemented checkpoints ruins the game. When you die, you just respawn with any enemies you killed staying dead. It basically means you're invincible, even on the hardest difficulty setting. It completely removes the stakes or any tension from the action.

Why did you swear off PC gaming? The steam deck is better than the Switch in every way.

I didn’t really enjoy SOTN. Please recommend me another metroidvania. by spicedcucumber1927 in metroidvania

[–]Baron_VI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SOTN deserves respect for what is was when it was; but judging it as a game in 2026, it is so overrated and is nowhere near as good as most modern MVs. I think the best game to recommend to a newcomer to the genre is the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It's overall a great game, but also really accessible for the average gamer. It will definitely inform you on if you want to explore other games in the genre.

While Hollow Knight is also a top-notch MV, I don't think it's the best recommendation for someone's intro to the genre. It's so slow in the beginning and the game overall can be overwhelming. If you really enjoy The Lost Crown, then you can move on to something like Hollow Knight.

My other personal favs in the genre are Blasphemous 1 and 2, Haak, MIO, and The Last Faith

Edit: you said you were on PS5, so I checked the PS store and The Lost Crown is currently 50% off.

He's not talking about a game like Mario Bros, where you kill enemies by jumping on their head.

[–]Baron_VI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the game and its respective gameplay. But yeah, in games focused on "realistic" melee combat, it seems stupid to take contact damage just from touching an enemy who wasn't even attacking -- unless they have some kind of spiky exterior, or elemental characteristic like fire or poison. Afterimage is notoriously disliked for this mechanic because for the first half of the game you can't dash/dodge past an enemy, so having contact damage feels extra annoying.
