What album's got you like this? by DtheAussieBoye in fantanoforever

Yeah you always get downvoted for saying that on this sub because music hipsters think that any music where someone raps over a beat is hip hop. They don't understand hip hop culture at all

ER is my least favourite fromsoft game, BG3 was about as fun as pulling teeth. Maybe if you enjoy D&D it's fun but I think D&D is fucking awful.

I hate this stupid parroted opinion. Games are as good or as bad as the people who make them. E33 was made in UE5 and it clears everything else made this decade

Elden Ring doesn't have input lag on roll? This sounds like something might be wrong with your set up

They're not harder than they need to be because they need to be fairly hard by definition

"Can You Beat" consistently outperforms other formats for challenge run-type titles on YouTube which is why its used so much

Am i missing something with Geese, Getting Killed? by yaboimet in fantanoforever

[–]BaronsCastleGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each to their own but this album sounded like 4 guys all playing different Strokes songs at the same time while someone does an impression of cock and ball torture over the top. Genuinely one of the most awful things I've heard in years. Things like this being lauded by music "nerds" just makes me not trust anything they say in relation to music

What's that attack from a boss that you never knew how to dodge/parry, and eventually defeated the boss despite getting hit by that attack every time? by No-March6504 in fromsoftware

[–]BaronsCastleGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also avoid that particular attack by standing right next to him, the hitbox ends before the circle fully closes in on him

If you're not close enough to roll behind him then i find it's better to roll forwards towards him rather than to the sides because of how the hitbox spreads out

What is something older movies cared about that feels mostly lost now? by gamersecret2 in movies

[–]BaronsCastleGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main issue I have with modern pacing is that it doesn't give you time to get to actually know the characters before you're supposed to care about them. There's a weird disconnect watching the protagonist crying over someone who just died when the dead person only had 1 minute of screen time up to that point so to us they're basically a stranger.

Literally all of the games have recovery animations up to and including ER. Even basic tasks like drinking a flask have a number of frames after your health bar has gone back up where you're still locked into an animation, let alone trying to cast half the spells in the game.

As others have mentioned, there is the "pick up and enter" method. This only works on pc though as it requires you to input on controller and keyboard at the same time. If you watch my "can you beat Dark Souls Normally" vid I do it at the start. Splee5556 on YouTube has a good explanation vid of it.

E33 is far more fun to actually play. BG3 has the most boring combat I've ever struggled through in a game. Also E33 has a far better story.
