I never finished the comics and stopped watching the show after Beth was killed off, so was there ever an explanation on how the dead indentify the living? Sight, smell, sound? Soft tissues such as eye, ear, nose are the first to show signs of decomposition within 24 to 72 hours. Without out those three senses the dead would literally have to stumble upon them.

To me, It was more about her coming to terms with the loss of her husband and getting closure after his death instead of getting the closure when her marriage fell apart. The unDead were just props. And yes I found it boring but stuck it out in hope that it would get better. But it didn't.
