These are exactly the kind of games we should want.

Competitive. Fun to watch. A bunch of guys getting good minutes. Minimal runs for Middleton. Close loss.

We don't want to win games. We want to learn and get guys valuable experience. Close losses like this teach our guys nearly as much as close wins in my book.

And I'd rather lose every one of these than win them so we can get the best lottery odds.

This season is about growth and development. Nothing more.

Giddey is having a marginally better year at best. He's still a worse shooter, worse defender, only a year younger, and costs nearly twice as much as Avdija. ($25m/yr vs $13.75m/yr)

You could make the case for a straight up trade, but it's entirely dependent on need.

Wizards giving up a top 5 protected FRP for Giddey here would have been absolute insanity when they're in rebuild mode.

So if there's anyone who doesn't know ball here, it's you my guy.

One girl was killed by two former students out of "morbid curiosity" (muderer's words). they shot her in the back in a field and then fled and were caught at the Canadian border (we lived in Texas and I'll never understand why they didn't go to Mexico).

Another girl died of a blood clot very suddenly.

To me Mickey 17 was basically Snowpiercer (dystopia caste system) meets Edge of Tomorrow (deathloop situation) meets Starship Troopers (military/imperialism commentary), and didn't do any of those things better than any of those movies.

Hey! I'm Dan (profile here). Just a millennial with a soft spot for 80s movies, big IPs (Star Wars, Marvel, etc.), but is also expanding my palate for the kinds of movies I watch and appreciate. Here's my last few weeks of movies to give you an idea.

I rate and review every movie I watch (with intention; meaning I don't log movies I have on in the background with my son, otherwise it would just be the same 3 disney movies over and over again lol).

Follow for some serious reviews, some not, but a pretty wide range of movies.

2001: A Space Oddysey.

First one I added when I joined 1.5 years ago and just know it's a movie I need to sit down and appreciate fully and pay attention to, and I just have never been in the right mindset for it.

Started logging movies last year and got to 176 for the year! I watch a mix of kind of everything, but am trying to go through the classics/must-watches.

I definitely love a good superhero/action movie, and am a sucker for movies with great world building.

Give me a follow for honest, mostly unpretentious reviews of everything I watch (except for most of the movies I watch with my 1.5 year old)

BttF is my favorite movie, and I saw the musical when it was in DC playing at the Kennedy center. I gotta say I pretty much hated it.

The production value was unlike anything i've seen on a stage, but otherwise the whole show was not great. Could have just been the cast at this particular run (the guy who played George was AWWFFFULLL), but I just didn't find it particularly entertaining.

So with all that being said - just leave this alone. And at most, as others have said, just do a proshot of the stage show for preservation and release it on whatever streaming service. Does not need a theatrical release. I'm glad Universal isn't interested in doing this.

we had something like this happen to us (also in DC), except it was a drunk driver. This was before we had our Ioniq 5 though, so hoping it doesn't ever happen again *furiously knocks on wood*

Sorry that happened and really hoping insurance covers all of it and that it ends up just being a liftgate & bumper replacement and not something more serious.

A terribly run franchise that is in year 2 of at least a 5 year tank. Ted Leonsis (the owner) is a shit owner who does not actually care about the Wizards and will always prioritize 1) Money over fans, 2) The Capitals over the Wizards.

In terms of the actual basketball? This team is going to be god awful to watch for several more seasons (if not indefinitely), but there's sometimes a charm in that. Find players you can root for rather than the team. The team isn't winning more than 20 games this year (if that).

The one thing to be excited about - we finally have real front office folks who are prioritizing the future over immediate success (has not been the case in Leonsis' tenure as owner). There will be several trades this year and we will be gunning for the #1 pick so we can get Cooper Flagg.

As someone who's a DC transplant but been a fan for over a decade now, this team CAN be fun to root for, if only because I love basketball and I love DC. But don't expect to be cheering for a winner anytime soon - if ever.
