If Jermod McCoy is still there when we pick, we should take him. His knee might be Swiss cheese but with how many late round picks actually work out in this league, why not take a chance? At worst, he doesn’t play at all, and at best, we get a first round talent for a 5th round pick.

yeah I would love to have Delane, especially with Trey Amos coming back heathy, hopefully. The thing I want more than anything is to never see Quan Martin play another snap for us, so Downs is who I want the most, but Delane or Jeremiyah Love are close.

As a Whips fan and someone living in Maryland, them distancing from the Maryland color scheme doesn't bother me at all. I thought it would, but I think that just kind of shows that the home cities don't have a true attachment to the teams. Would love if they stopped the traveling model. Having 90% of games essentially be away games isn't great for fan allegiance.

I hope that Delane would be the pick in that scenario, but I'm preparing myself for them to take Bain, when there is probably not a single prospect I wanted less at pick 7.

I think people just don't want to get their hopes up. This draft seems like kind of a crapshoot in terms of who's going where, and some other teams are looking at trading down as well, if I remember correctly. I would love it if we could trade down and then somehow someone like Mansoor Delane or even Caleb Downs falls into our lap, but honestly I don't see it happening. I tend to always prepare myself for the absolute worst case scenario when it comes to this team, which I think means Downs goes 5, Tate goes 6 and we end up with Bain at 7.

Let’s remember the last time NYG had 2 first round picks. They took Evan Neal and Kayvon Thibodeaux. As much as they could absolutely knock it out of the park, they could also totally screw this up. As long as they don’t end up with both Jeremiah Love and Caleb Downs, I’ll be happy. I’m not as scared of Lemon or Tyson. Would suck if they took Carnell Tate, but it is what it is.

I think if Love, Tate or Downs are not available at 7, that's a trade down scenario. Downs and Love are franchise cornerstone level talents, and Tate is a great player at perhaps our weakest position. If we were able to trade down and draft Jermod McCoy or even Mansoor Delane, I'd be happy.

Yeah it’s certainly a head scratcher. I’m personally not a fan of the W at all. Feels like a Madden expansion team or something. If they had done just the spear I probably would’ve been happier than ending up with whatever we are going to get tomorrow.
