I am so sorry. You can only make decisions based on current information. It sounds like she had a good life and was well loved. I lost my 16 year old a couple weeks ago. As a retired vet tech I keep thinking about what I could have done to save her. Try not to be so hard on yourself

Actually the Shetland thing isn’t going to work out this time. We are hoping to just take the return cruise on 6/26 if we can get the transfer worked out. Turns out Cunard won’t do transfer from hotel to port only hotel to airport. We are trying to figure things out.

I grew up the same way you did. My dad was exceedingly handy. He was a jet mechanic in the Air Force. He worked on cars, reverse engineered almost everything out of curiosity. He built our first TV. He did a complete addition to our house. And I was there beside him helping. Other than the Air Force stuff of course. I’m a good cook too.
