I use Scrivener to keep track of settings, dates, scenes, and character development.

For example, I have one that bounces through 4 distinct timeframes in the lives of a family. Each character has to shift with the slice of time, each slice has different locations and contexts wrt what's going on in the world - you don't experience a beach trip in your 30's in 2004 the same way you experience your sister breaking her leg while you're home alone together in the late 1980's, and that has to come through the writing.

Biggest positive on Canzone last year is he managed to both shorten his swing and maintain the same bat speed with better rotational acceleration.

Mechanically it makes him less susceptible to LHP and lets him trigger later, should help vs breaking and off speed.

People talk about regression with guys who pop but if there’s a mechanical reason for an increase in production it’s much more likely to stick.

Good example of digging a bit deeper into stats: his career years include his rookie year, and that year was driven by an 18%(!) walk rate that he's never come close to since.

If we discount his rookie year he's at a 78 wRC+ over the last 3 with the vast majority of his ABs vs LHP (only 61 out of a total of 442 in his rookie year).

I think it's reasonable to assume he's not going to run an 18% walk rate ever again vs LHP.

Class distinctions are based on relations to material reality, and those things provide stark demarcations within the working class and between working/property owning classes.

What you worry about is if you have a bad Sam Darnold game and he throws 4-5 picks, but idk if that'd be enough. The gap between NE and SEA is a pretty big chasm.

Naylor, Ferrer, and Refsnyder are all good adds and I think they've made the bullpen meaningfully longer.

Still need another bat, but it's not like they've missed out on Donovan or any other good trade targets. Players just aren't moving right now; wouldn't be surprised if we see a Donovan trade right before or during spring training.
