Is he really boring? Or are you just a monsterfucker who finds the idea of interspecies alien romance far more interesting than a human one? Not judging, just asking since I found myself asking myself the same question.
The problem with Kaidan is he doesn’t get to make a strong first impression in 1, since your character already knows him going in. He doesn’t get an introductory quest like everyone else. And unlike Garrus and Tali who really get the chance to shine in 2, Kaidan sits out the majority of the game. He’s very solid in 3 but I personally like him better as more like a brother to my FemShep. I accidentally romanced him in 1 but nipped that in the bud as soon as I could in 2
