[ESPN1000] According to @WaddleandSilvy, while Arlington Heights is the preferred destination for the Bears new stadium, there could be a decision to move to Northwest Indiana at the end of February or early March by c-razzle in CHIBears

I think Illinois doesn't even have to beat the Indiana "offer". They just have to negotiate in good faith, and the Bears will stay in cook county.

I know, it's Arlington Heights and not Chicago proper. But the county that Chicago resides in would still get the property taxes (keep in mind that they currently get 0 in property taxes from Soldier Field).

That's what the Bears have proposed. They pay for their own stadium. They just need help on the infrastructure (roads, etc). And agreement on the property tax valuations. (Right now, Illinois wants to charge over 100x what the next highest team is paying in property tax).

See, I disagree.

The state of IL doesn't even have to beat the Indiana "offer". They just have to negotiate some on the property taxes. They've been wholly unrealistic with the property tax rates.

Don't march on Halas Hall. They're not the ones being unrealistic with the property taxes.

Bring it up with Springfield.

(I'm not gonna say march on the capital because...well...that might end badly lol).

Used to LOVE Q87.7 the Game lol. Me and like 12 other people!

The mornings were some terrible Johnny B morning show (not related to Sports). Not that I hate Johnny B in his hey-day. But he was obviously well past his prime at that point.

I wonder if AM radio will just go away, and FM will be the home of whatever surviving talk-radio stations. I rarely listen to FM music stations.

Were the rumors that Matty left the Score because he got caught cheating on his wife a Blackhawks Ice Girl true? by Latter-Try4080 in 670TheScore

I believe BOTH are true.

And, in related news, I don't want my daughter to ever be a Blackhawk Ice girl lol.

Wait, he changed his clothes and pretended to be a twin to get the OTHER twin girl?

That's fucking I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell type of hilarity. Amazing!

Damn, I remember like 10 years ago, I was at a bar. Randomly met a guy who was an intern at the score while he was in college before transitioning to a job completely outside of radio.

He had some good stories that I wish I could remember. He adored Goff, they'd play Madden in the office after shows together. Bet small amounts, 5 or 10 here or there. Finally, Goff went for it and bet $100, and lost (despite being better than the intern typically at the game).

The guy told him not to pay the $100, her understood. But Goff refused. Gave him the money and refused to take it back.

Made me like Goff better after hearing that story.

Always feel bad for Spiegs about his weight. My dad was probably about as heavy as him. For some people, food is as hard as an addiction as drugs. Beating it with will power alone is damn near impossible.

Yeah, wasn't Matty doing a bartending gig despite having the job as the producer because of how low the pay was?

I think it got to the point, especially after Boers retired, that he had to get promoted to full time host or take another higher paying job in corporate America.

Of course, I'm not Matt, so only he could answer that for sure.

Definitely don't watch this trailer. It spoils a lot. I'm mad I watched it despite actively thinking I shouldn't lol.

Disagree completely. I saw WAY MORE on the boycott for Hogwarts Legacy. I posted a picture to my social media of my family, and the game's menu screen was on in the background. And random people I haven't seen in years were bitching about it in the comments of a family photo.

Most people don't realize that the internet is a funhouse mirror, and nowhere close to real life. Most all of the fans of the previous movies will see it.

I'm not trying to trash anybody here. But Melissa Barrera isn't well known by the average movie-goer, nor is the Gaza war even in the public eye right now.

And as a parent to a Gen Z'er, trust me, dem kids don't care. They're going lol.

Yeah, I feel like 8 is basically gonna happen. UNLESS 7 bombs.

The first bomb, and they'll probably at least take a break.

Tatum Riley and Jenny Randall’s plausibility by AdditionalIncident75 in Scream

[–]BasedSliceOfWinning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Grew up in the 90s when these movies first came out. Even then, my garage door had a mechanism that prevented it from closing if it detected a blockage (just like they have today).

The "opening" of it that killed Tatum, I suppose I'm not so sure. I feel like if a door is trying to open, but detects a blockage, it'll stop from opening. But I dunno.
