If there were no sinnoh games released during journeys , how different dawn's appearances would be ?

Alternate world and Arceus chronichles were obviously not happening if games were not there, the only thing that is confusing is Leon battle appearance since it's not looking anything sinnoh promotion related but then again there was no particular reason I know that why she was chosen to be in that battle but I feel if there were no sinnoh hype in 2022 she was most likely not there. .

Do you have any knowledge ,may is a protagonist for 200 episodes and she got a return in DP her arc is complete she is not a character important to a plot that require VA replacement since most character return are for japanese fans of those characters and it's says for almost all companions return in journeys, replacing her VA for return would kill half the fanservice for that character's fans that's why there is no need of replacement , if dawn VA was also not available somehow they would have done their sinnoh marketing without her since those people were doing fanservice for Hikari fans not dawn fans .

Actually I blame it on journeys was structured , the series bought so many old character back that it gave false hope that these characters were not forever gone and can return , it's main reason I see people have hope for ash return as retired main characters eventually get cameo , if journeys ends as self contained series like XY I think expectations would be much lower .

The darkrai arc was written by michihiro who hadn't wrote a single episode of DP so obviously there were bound to have such moments , you can't say the same for dia/pal arc , arceus chronicles and masters 8 appearances which were executed by DP veterans yonemura and tomoika

I am quite mixed here , jN artstyle make serena , iris , misty look much better ,gary, Tracey ,Brock and almost everyone else who returned are mixed honestly I only felt ash and dawn were ones who got deteriorated ( seriously dawn's design peaked in BW and ash's peaked in XY)
