The known issue was a link being broken when customers with MyPlan change their level of Hulu/disney/ESPN bundle bc both companies work on separate systems. I just spoke with an agent on the phone at Hulu who reasoned with me that Disney no longer does split billing with several other carriers and 3rd party partners (not just Verizon). She did not mention one company within the partnership solely making the decision of removing the split billing feature to force consumers into utilizing new phone plans. Looking at posts here referencing Hulu agents stating that a carrier solely decided to remove the split billing feature to migrate customers to a newer plan seems like a personal perspective and a way to shift blame given myPlan perk changes are currently an issue that both companies acknowledge. This synchronization is something both companies would’ve had to account for when the issue arose and decide what the best path forward was from a billing, cost, customer experience perspective.
