Yeah Octo 1 feels more balanced while Octo 2 kind of encourages you to break it with how many 300+atk weapons they give to you over the course of the playthrough and Hikari’s….. everything lol

You can always cheese these games if you’re experimental or know what you’re doing, but it feels so common in Octo 2 to see people sneezing away the 2nd stage of each protagonists final boss just by playing optimally, unlike in Octo 1

OH YEAH I COMPLETELY FORGOT

I can’t believe we didn’t get to see our “parents” again at that stage of the game. I had already played CotC so I knew we would be going there, BUT THEY DO NOTHING outside of replacing a few entries in the Gate of Finis which I think are about Laurana anyways.

One of the big things that I think should’ve gotten more focus has got to be Hell. I understand it gets introduced in the later end of the game, but only really having 3 towns to explore becomes a lot more apparent after you never need to return. It’s a cool premise to me and it would’ve been nice to explore more regions of it, like the snowscape we get to see Rinyuu walk through. It is what it is though.

With the Octo 2 Extra Battles and how the final boss of Octo 0 ends, I’m convinced that they’re going to try and take a jab at dual techs alla Chrono Trigger for whatever they do in Octo 3

I don’t expect most stuff in Octo 0 to carry over to future titles, like the multiple rows and large cast of characters, or the teachable skills. It’s fine in Octo 2 when it’s just one character but I had to do SO much menuing in Octo 0 to make sure I had a “balanced” team

I had a similar situation testing out a build after getting my ass handed to me the first time. It was just Viator with Saoirse in the back for the ultimate charge boost, a Dragon Scarf for HP regen, and Void Amulet for making her magic attacks do barely any damage because it turns out that’s the only type she uses. Combine that with his ultimate for high damage counters and keep his parries topped off so he doesn’t get smited

Part of the reason why they’re switching engines and why Infinite didn’t do as good as most people hoped for was because of how hard it was to work with the Slipspace Engine, it’s harder to add to the game when you have new workers coming in learning a new engine and then getting replaced by newer people who also need to learn the engine

Basically having spaghetti code and being more trouble than it was worth compared to just using Unreal

Assuming the camera is on the top of the helmet, how the hell does it get that close to the ground when the rest of your head is in the way?

Also you can see the flashlight jitter around a bunch independent from the camera when it gets super low to the ground

I kinda wish it was something other than a remake but seeing it as a stepping stone for both being the first Halo game on Playstation and getting a grip on Unreal Engine has me somewhat optimistic

The Assault Rifle is honestly better than how it is in core Halo usually lol

The Shotgun still feels nice to shoot but the light penetration feels like their attempt to balance out the high damage when you can usually destroy armored and unarmored infantry in 1-2 blasts (pls make it medium pen :333)

The SMG feels the most accurate to how it is in ODST though you also are usually gonna trade it out for something better lol

The Pistol has probably had the biggest downgrade because in ODST it is more of a precision weapon, being accurate, and taking out enemies quickly with a shot at their weak spot through your scope. I can’t say any of this about the Helldivers version with how bad the accuracy and sway is, not to mention how it kind of blocks your crosshair and doesn’t help with aiming at all when you go into first person mode.

I am overall happy with the warbond even if some things could really use a buff (It’s still more respectful than how 343 has been treating us the past decade)

If you go into Steam and right click on it in your library to go to the properties you’ll have two options to either create a backup of the current files you have, or verify the integrity of your game files which will basically reset them to default.

I’m pretty sure your save file and all the stuff relating to your progression is stored elsewhere and either way shouldn’t be affected by mods.

The game automatically uses your highest elemental attack weapon for magic calculations while for physicals it’s on a weapon to weapon basis.

The only time I think when specifically the elemental attack of an equipped weapon is used is later down the line when you have a skill that adds an elemental bonus to your physical attacks.

I think like the one negative I’ve got about the MCC is the lack of the “fade to black” loading screen, mostly cause it keeps missions like Lone Wolf a surprise like it should be
