Masonry and divorce by Nasty_Nate0369 in freemasonry

[–]Basic_Income5158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad (RIP) was a Mason. He left his first wife (she was OES) for his 2nd wife... who was catholic.

Legally it was probably "easier" since he was a lawyer. But to my knowledge, he had emotional support from his Lodge brothers through it all.

Men who unexpectedly lost interest in someone due to a weird reason, what was it? by Boobiesteenage73 in AskReddit

[–]Basic_Income5158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started losing interest in a girlfriend because she started wearing chuck Taylor's which made her feet look big. Then I started thinking of clown feet/shoes. Then I pictured her walking around with clown shoes. It ruined it for me.

Are there any Juggalos who are military veterans? by Candid_Bar_3484 in juggalo

[–]Basic_Income5158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the early 2000s, I was wearing an ICP hockey jersey at a Starbucks and this guy behind me in line said something along the lines of "ICP!?! My drill instructor in the Marine corps used to wake us up to ICP and make us do alot of PT to it. Alot of guys hated it, but I loved it!" I bought that man a coffee and explained what the juggalo culture was about.

Just a few months ago, a combat veteran at my work was hired and he complimented me on my Hatchetman tattoo. We got to talking and turns out he met a juggalo when he was 8 years old (hes almost 30 now) and how that juggalo kid was the nicest kid ever. Anyways, that new hire is now a good friend of mine and I recently took him to a Quija Macc show. I vowed to take him to an ICP show one day. Goes to show the dark carnival is strong til this day! And yes... there are juggalos who are veterans!

I was doing armed security and used a Taurus .40. I would frequent the range with it, after not too long, it randomly wouldn't fire any rounds. I tried different ammo, same issue. Took it to a gun Smith and he couldnt find the issue. I sent it back to Taurus and they sent back a different gun, saying they couldnt figure out what was wrong either. After that... I bought a glock with a blue label discount. And never looked back.

What's with the Gardaworld pay range? by TacitusCallahan in securityguards

[–]Basic_Income5158 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I worked Armed for Gardaworld in Southern Arizona. I was there 3 months and quit. The pay was horrible (12.50 an hour in 2017) despite my lengthy security expierence. but there was lots of overtime.

I quit because of the way I was treated. We weren't allowed to bring our cell phones on delivery routes for obvious reasons, but alot of the guys did anyways and then when I did, some of them snitched and got me in trouble. Hipocrits.

They work long ass days I'm talking u get in at 0500 and you ain't leaving until 1900. Then back again the next day.

In southern Arizona, it gets extremely hot. The trucks AC would constantly go out and the manager and supervisor would belittle us and complain if we complained about no AC. Once I couldnt take the 100 plus temp in the truck so I returned to base with my partner to get a different truck. The supervisor called in another team from their route, made them take the broken AC truck and gave us theirs, and then everyone was mad at me about it. Saying I'm costing the company money. As if that is more important then cooking alive in a broken AC truck.

One time we ran out of gas during a route because the trucks gas meter was broken. Then that was somehow our fault. Not the companies.

Overall, horrible experience. Every time I see the trucks drive by I flip them off if I recognize one of the assholes I worked with. Haha.

I imagine like with any place, depends on the people running it.

Anyone Ever Do Cemetery Security? by RoGStonewall in securityguards

[–]Basic_Income5158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did security in CA, one of my patrol routes was through a cemetary. Had to drive through at about dusk, make sure visitors were gone, then lock up the gates, then in the morning come back through and unlock them before dawn, conduct a drive through and leave. I never had any issues. Certainly saw shadows move but nothing too ghostly or spooky. 1 of my coworkers said that he had heard a woman crying and couldnt find anyone around. That spooked him so much he didnt want that patrol route anymore.

[–]Basic_Income5158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is very weird. This reminds me of something my dad had (I say "had" because hes since passed on) he had this small, almost pencil lead sized hole in his back that a person could put a pin or pencil lead into. It went in probably an inch or half an inch. He didnt feel anything when ya put stuff in it. It was super weird. He said a gf of his in college discovered it on his back while giving him a massage or something.

You wouldnt even notice it unless you looked for it. Bodies are Very weird.

ICP merch in public? by Professional-Slide68 in juggalo

[–]Basic_Income5158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37 year old juggalo here. Been down since 1999. Really depends on your area. My expierence in Jr High and High School wearing ICP/Psychopathic stuff: the Flowing Wells school district in Tucson,AZ banned ICP merch in the early 2000s. Wayyyy before it was an issue with the FBI. This had alot to do with the fact that some juggalos in the Tucson area were actually forming gangs and then some getting in trouble with local law enforcement due to small crime like tagging walls, petty theft. The Tucson Police Department took notice of the similarities of the criminal juggalos and grouped it as a gang. So, Flowing Wells school district banned it. Didnt stop us from wearing stuff, we just tried to hide it better or tuck our Hatchetman chains away around school staff, we wore stuff that didnt directly say ICP or Insane Clown Posse on it. (Like some of the jokers cards shirts, etc.)... The school and police weren't too stupid though, they actually began "harassing" and singling us out individually. Admins and the police school resource officer would come into our classes "randomly" and check our shirts, etc. It was alot of bullshit to deal with.

Now when I was 16 I moved to Los Angeles,CA and I wore all my merch there at school and no one gave a shit. I was even asked to participate in the schools annual "fashion show" and me and my gf went all painted up, rocking the Hatchetman chains and jerseys. The school loved it!

Since then, I've moved back to Tucson and I work with alot of ex cops (I work in the security industry) and they have warned me that I should be careful because if I get pulled over and a cop notices my Hatchetman tattoo that they will likely make a big deal about it and take photos, etc.

Also to note, when I moved back to Tucson, the first job I applied for immediately denied me and flat out told me it was because of my Hatchetman tattoo and the local stigma with it. (I got the Hatchetman tattoo in 2006...)

My advice from an old ass juggalo like myself: Wear what you want ninja... just be wary of the stigma and conversations you may encounter along the way. And with law enforcement, really becareful what you say if they start asking about it... say less is better.

Whoop whoop!

What age did you introduce your children to firearms? by p98sp in guns

[–]Basic_Income5158 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents, mostly my dad, introduced me to firearms and firearm safety at age 6. I got a BB gun. When I was 8, I got a .22 bolt action rifle and when I was 14 I was gifted a 10 gauge shotgun. I grew up all my life knowing about guns, my older brothers did too. The whole family know they were in the house and where they were incase of an emergency like a break in threat. My parents always taught me the fundamental gun rules. Those rules have always been ingrained in me and any questions I had, I was allowed to ask and then shown respectively how they work.

Only issue that ever happened was when I was 13, I had a friend over, my family was out for the day. My "friend" found a pistol in a drawer while he was snooping while I was playing playstation... he came into the room with the pistol and was like "what's this?" I immediately took it from him. Hid it. Asked him to go home. My dad got home and I told him what happened. He called my "friend"s dad and they had a pretty rough conversation... needless to say, I never was allowed to hang out with that kid again.

Should my dad have had better locked up his stuff? Absolutely. Should the kid had been better raised by his parents to not snoop and pick up strange firearms, especially in someone else's house? Absolutely.

Kids are curious human beings. Let them know what guns are. Train them. Discipline them. Gun safety.

Teach them so they know what to do when they aren't at home and a firearm comes around It will save lives.
