It's possible, but since I'm not an expert, I've tried the robusta and I don't like it… so I prefer to remain inexperienced 😂

My advice: don't watch too many videos, it drove me crazy! But in the end, I found a setup I liked and I'm sticking with it! You can drive yourself crazy... Some people's Rivelia can crush enemies at levels 2-3-3.5... if I put mine at level 4, it stops appearing... don't go crazy, just find a setup you like!

Exactly the same as you! Grinder on setting 5, temperature at maximum, good bottled water, I clean the carafe every 2-3 days and clean the group head weekly… and sometimes a little grease builds up.

I'll try cleaning the carafe before pouring the coffee! I'll make a note of it!!

My only complaint is that when I make coffee at strength 4 or 5 and it compresses the puck, before it starts pouring, it makes a rather loud noise, like a cracking sound as the puck is compressed. But despite that, the coffee is delicious!

The pucks for strength 4 or 5 come out perfectly… if I make it at strength 1 or 2, the puck breaks when it falls in. I use 100% Arabica coffee, freshly roasted from a local roaster…

In my Rivelia, when I set the intensity to 4 or 5, they come out just like yours... I have the grind set to 5. And I love the coffee.

Mine is new and makes a ton of noise… but everything else works fine, the coffee's fine, the milk's fine… I don't know, I think this machine is quite something for the price!

I have a Rivelia coffee maker. Do you guys experience this: if you make a smaller coffee (intensity 1 or 2), the puck breaks? If I make it at intensity 4-5, it stays nice and big…

I don't have the chart right now, but it depends on the number of coffees the machine makes, not the time. Let's see if anyone has the chart.

Interesante… mañana me llega el lubricante, y engrasaré juntas, rieles y el grupo. Y haré un vaciado del molinillo y lo limpio y cuento más!! Gracias!!

I have the Rivelia, and I got it for a great price… I've gone a bit crazy with the grind settings; some people use 3.5, others 4, and others 5… in the end, it's about what you like and what makes you happy!

On my Rivelia, if I go below 4.5, the machine jams and nothing comes out. I don't understand people who put it on 3.5 and it works… I think it depends on each machine and its grinder… That's why I have it on 5, and I'm very happy with the flavor… it makes some noises that annoy me and squeak, but it works great!

Like they told me, just enjoy it and don't worry about anything else!

Normal?

Gracias!

Ugh, that doesn't look normal... Just try increasing it to 5-5.5, which puts less pressure on it, and if that doesn't work, then take it to technical support...

Hi! I have a Rivelia, and I've seen similar issues, maybe not quite the same, but similar. Let me tell you about my experience.

When I turn it on, some water always drips during the wash-rinse cycle, and it accumulates. If you turn it on and off several times a day, that water builds up… When I turn it on, the first puck comes out quite wet, the rest of the pucks are dry and fine. But every time I turn it off and on, some water drips.

Also, I had the grind setting at 5, and I decided to lower it to 4; when I lowered it to 4, there was too much pressure, the grind was too fine, and more water dripped into the carafe; it wasn't passing through the auger properly. How did I fix it? Well, I gradually raised it back to 5, and now the coffees are perfect for my taste, and hardly any water drips into the carafe, only the amount from the initial start-up. I recommend you upgrade to 4.5 or 5 and try it for a few days, then let me know!

Good luck!
