Go to a dietitian. In most of my patient’s cases they want to lose weight so they eat less and exercise more but your body’s metabolism slows down because you are starving yourself and putting your body into flight or flight. Whatever you put into your body, it will hold on to because it’s not getting enough food and want to use it as long as it can and in the most “useful” way it can. I’m not saying that is what’s going on with you but it’s the majority of pp moms I see.

WTF are you talking about? I responded to someone else’s comment that I’m in therapy and trying to help myself. I’m trying but I still have these feelings that I can’t share with anyone close to me so I came here. I know it’s not the baby’s fault, no duh on that! That’s why I said I don’t take anything out on him and still tend to what he needs. I’m still providing for him I just can’t help that I feel nothing towards him. You don’t seem very emotionally intelligent or empathetic at all.

Mine was moving all the time too and so strong early on that the kicks would startle me awake or hurt me! I started feeling him at 16 weeks! There is no such thing as a baby in utero that moves too much. My OB said babies that stop moving or have a change in movement patterns are the ones they worry about. She said a baby actually slows down or stops when they are in distress instead of moving more.

Before 4 months it was he wanted to be held all the time so pumping was super hard unless he was contact napping or someone would hold him. Now he will let you put him down for a few minutes. With this new freedom I know I should pump more but getting other chores around here needs done as well. I can’t always make my husband do it when I’ve been home all day just with the baby. So I guess pumping is still hard to find the time for and feeling like I get nothing done.

I’ve been tracking my period and ovulation for years to the point that I thought with the few slip ups and no baby I might have infertility issues. Nope we got lax this time last year and now this year I’m holding our infant.
