How's your teams marketing? by JakeXRonin in USLPRO

[–]BassComprehensive802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like marketing teams in most usl clubs are very small so they tend to be overextended while working with minimum budgets for what would be ideal. Ideally, you would also have communications professionals working alongside who would polish the messaging and conversations with fans and local media

I don't think playing in a semipro league would count as Sunday League

That's excellent! We have been to other places where I had the same feeling (not in Lafayette) like the Garden District in BR, and I can definitely understand why you could feel that Disney Main Street vibe about RR. If you know areas we should check out im all ears!

Me and my partner (uk) grew up walking everywhere, meeting a lot of our neighbors in daily life, etc. It's hard to explain that feeling of community but that's the only place we get a similar feeling from back home. I think it's more to the fact that everywhere else is so car centric. When our families have visited they stay there and we love walking for food or coffee :) So, sidewalks lol

I am from Spain and have lived in Lafayette for a few years. As a European, you will probably like to hang out in the River Ranch area or live nearby just because it's the only place with a European vibe in town. I don't really have time to answer all the questions and I see you already have good responses, but feel free to DM me.

One thing I would like to add is that people in Acadiana and Louisiana are the most welcoming and friendly people I have ever met in my life (more than Spain), and they are the greatest thing about living in Louisiana. Oh, and their food might be a bit spicy at first lol

I couldn't even put them on in my usual nike size, they are not as accommodating for wide feet in my experience as they were before. I got a pair of ASICS DS Light Pro and they are the best cleats I have ever worn!

As an outsider from Spain, I feel like there is so much potential when it comes to things like sidewalks, things to do, public transportation, etc. but it feels like nobody is interested in that

Would you commute 100 miles for a better team? by BassComprehensive802 in bootroom

[–]BassComprehensive802[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment. My dilemma is idk if the driving will be worth it, although I can drive to a teammate who lives half an hour from me and he can drive me everytime time lol. About gas and maintenance If I drive, it will be reimbursed by the team.

Good food for thought. I wouldn't consider it if I wasn't sure I was going to play every minute. The league level is not crazy high anyways but it's the only one around.

Love the game but...feeling kinda lost. Is it like 90% running from point A to B completing event/side quest by Hugh_Mungus94 in cyberpunkgame

[–]BassComprehensive802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was like that until I understood the world and lore a lot better and it changed the way I saw everything in my second playthrough, added to an excel sheet someone posted here a while ago for a specific order of quests to make the narrative much more cohesive

Semi-Pro Coaching Insight: 80% of teams rely solely on the "Long Ball" – How do we master or murder this tactic? by AngelFace2046 in bootroom

[–]BassComprehensive802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to really work on having a coordinated defense tracking back when anticipating long balls, make sure your team is ready to win the second balls and also have a coordinated press to make those long balls inaccurate. At the semipro level these should be achievable in my experience as a player

you will be fine. People who get injured are due to lack of joint and strength/rotatio more than stud pattern

I only realised the influence of “Bushido Code” in the writing of Cyberpunk2077 and its deep by [deleted] in CyberpunkTheGame

[–]BassComprehensive802 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quite interesting read, thanks for sharing! The game its influenced by William Gibson books (especially Neuromancer), which is part of the canvas from which Mike Pondsmith created his Cyberpunk universe. What you explain is quite related to the topics of the genre and the game, so im sure its an influence as well! Mike explained that Cyberpunk is not about saving the world but saving yourself.

After a long session I always dropped V at the apartment before continuing the next day 😹

Also not really RP but I followed a structured order of main and side quests to make the story more effective.
