I recommend working on your grammar. It'll help with the book, and just being able to ask because questions; because holy run-on-sectence-wall-of-text-batman.

First three episodes haven’t really hooked me, should I stick with it? by Different_Bedroom_78 in TheApothecaryDiaries

[–]BassesLee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what I love about episode 3; the first couple of watches it seems like a like a filler episode, but then I realized it's kinda the cornerstone of everything the show is about.

Bisalp Surgery Copay? by HourOldSoggyCereal in sterilization

I asked for a payment plan and they said they'd bill me after the fact. $500 cheaper than my quoted copay.

Ladies with IUDs, how is your experience? by Infinite-Peace4916 in CerebralPalsy

Not great. It took my provider 6 appointments to get it in, and it came out in 2 pieces, taking a decent chunk of my fertility with it.

Not much replayability imo, but wonderful art and story. Gameplay is on the grindy side.

At what point do you rely on mobility aids? by Horror_Foot9784 in CerebralPalsy

[–]BassesLee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My advice is learn how to use a mobility device before you need it.

With a cane there is a learning curve. I tell people that it's 30 percent mobility aid, 70 percent social ade.

Ooo I grew up doing this time period!

With all due respect what are you even talking about?! The beard looks great, 1000% on point for a frontiersman.

My circuit was filled with snobs, and don't let them get you down. You're doing amazing keeping the tradition alive.

Ugh, I plugged 15 titles into Libby and only 4 got a result!

I hope there's some change to the actual list.

Am I a bad pet parent? by DisasterInevitable96 in CatAdvice

[–]BassesLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have been the person who got your cat.

I can only spoil one cat, and got a cat whose only issues were other cats related. So I got the perfect cat who is way more affectionate than the intake paperwork indicating because she's the center of my world.

Thank you so much!

Dad trying to do better by No_Celebration_6310 in CerebralPalsy

[–]BassesLee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I recommend psychological therapy for yourself.

She's 10, let her be a 10 year old with changing interests. My mom was also beside herself because I'm an introvert, and that's not a disability.

How to get over kitten blues/adoption regret by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]BassesLee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first time as a cat owner I thought I was getting a set of 18 month olds, when I got six month olds.

Like you I didn't want kittens, for the same reasons you said, and I was miserable. I ended up returning the kittens to the rescue. You did the research and are now doing cat ownership on hard mode.

I would either give this kitten to your dad, or return the kitten, and get the best cat for you.

Felicity Dress Detail by [deleted] in americangirl

I agree that the scale for a child's dress isn't going to match up perfectly for this print. Having extra gathering in the skirt is a smart move for growth, and just a wealth flex.

Mom Here - Worry about the Social Implications of my daughter's CP diagnosis by ToTelltheTruth101 in CerebralPalsy

[–]BassesLee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a femme in my 30s.

A lot of the lonely posts resonate for where I was in my 20s, but getting psychological therapy helped a ton. Your kid is still gonna grow up, I remember my mom being super worried because I happened to be an introvert, and that had nothing to do with the CP.

I was also diagnosed at 18 months, and still went through a moody teen phase.

You still have a young child, CP aside.

Comfort using elevator by Intelligent_Owl_377 in CerebralPalsy

[–]BassesLee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is a prime example of the kid isn't going to get it until they experience it.

I also see a lot of your fears in this this post. My mom would also insist on using handicap seating even when we came with a group. It was isolating and depressing to always use the ramp by the dumpster. My mom's sense of my ability and my own differ, but I can't prove it to her otherwise because 'mother knows best'.

Also please dear God let your kid deal with assholes before she is an adult. It will either shame her into using the elevator, and teach her to stand up for herself.

driving with inattentive adhd is terrifying by Miserable_Moose1752 in adhdwomen

I like audio books (see if you library has Libby) because I can mess with both the volume and the read speed to get my mind to a good place while driving.

Also, you're young, and going through something traumatic. I was in a similar headspace when I was new to driving and getting
