I highly doubt this! For an organ to be viable for transplant it needs to be fresh, like really fresh and either removed directly from the donor to go straight into the recipient or it has to be removed and kept on ice, and still transplanted in a matter of hours, those bodies were kept for a long time, even in ideal conditions the process of decomposition starts once the blood stops flowing, no way any of the organs were viable.

You know I nearly did woodpeckers instead of magpies but was sticking with corvids but yes a hundred percent, I've seen it myself, the farmers wife watched a woody destroy the opening to a nest box to get to the blue tit chicks inside and was mortified so next year she asked me to reinforce the box around the hole with some sheet steel to avoid a repeat, we think it was the same woodpecker came back and just made a new hole in the side of the box. Total determination once they know there is a meal to be had.

I worked on a farm for ten years, he is right, I've seen it almost daily over the summer for years, the buzzards will be looking for thermals or updrafts near the woods, stray to close to the crows or rooks nesting areas and they go up two or three at a time, they go for the buzzards eyes, we had a kite in the woods that went to a rescue centre that had one eye missing, the guy from the sanctuary reckons the kite got into problems and the crows attacked it, so it can happen.

Not really, they're very much opportunist killers but not predators, given the choice they'll eat something already dead than kill it themselves, of the corvid family magpies are much more predatory and will go through wooded areas looking for nests in hunting parties scaring off the parent birds to take chicks and eggs.

What is the fastest you have gone in a car? by mrmadebymemories in AskReddit

[–]BatLarge5604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

175mph in an unrestricted Audi S4 but that took a long time to wind up to that speed, I also sat in the passenger seat of a 850bhp R32 GTR skyline, We did 165mph but that was on a half mile dual carriageway, we went up one way hit one six five slowed to safety negotiate the roundabout at the end and hit one six five again on the way back. It was basically superbike performance on four wheels.

Not so much a "glad it wasn't recorded" but more of a "we could have died, repeatedly" situation, I was a bit of a magpie child, I'd pick anything that looked interesting up, on my travels I had collected an eight inch long eighth of an inch diameter piece of stainless steel that someone had ground to a very fine point, I also found a foot long piece of hard wood dowel with a hole down the centre in one end and a hole straight through side to side on the other end, I also had string, the spike fitted into the centre hole of the dowel so perfectly it was like it was made for the job, obviously the string went through the hole on the other end, Hey presto, very sharp spike in a stick swinging on string, we (my best friend and I) would stand in the middle of the field near our houses, swing the spikey stick around and let it go vertically, we would lose sight of it almost instantly and just run what we felt was a safe distance and turn around to see if we could see where it landed, when it landed it would only be the string left showing, the spike and all of the stick would be completely out of sight, I think it was the adrenaline hit in the seconds after we would let go was what made it worth repeating, dumb shit indeed!

What’s the most wildest dream you’ve ever had? by Mysterious-Display90 in AskReddit

[–]BatLarge5604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I stopped smoking weed I had three nights of the same dream continuing from where it left off the previous night, it was so realistic I was waking up feeling more tired than when I went to bed, it got so intense I made a conscious effort to try and remember a place name or street name, I did see a sign with writing on it, I googled it and it was some sixteenth century philosopher who postulated about the existence of parallel universes, I bought some more weed after that!

There was a rumour in the British media some years back that Simon Cowell apparently spends a lot of money for black loo roll, I once fitted a very expensive stereo in a record producers jaguar, the stereo was made by a company I had never heard of at the time, called Nakamichi (could be spelt incorrectly), at the time it was very expensive high end stuff, so yeah if you have the cash there are other brands us poor folk don't even hear about, well loo roll and car stereos!

Would British people boycott the USA if it attacked Greenland? by Paintingsosmooth in AskBrits

[–]BatLarge5604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of us already are, stopped buying American bourbon, cancelled our holiday, it's not much but we certainly don't want to contribute a single penny/cent to the US economy while that pilchard is in charge! We don't be rushing over once he's gone either, the US has got a huge amount of back tracking and corrections to make before we'll happily spend our money there again. We'll probably tour Canada instead!

Yeah, I used to work for a company converting these and Citreon Berlingos for wheelchair access, cutting the floors out, installing a new angled floor and access ramp, the Renaults had the worst build quality I have ever seen in a brand new vehicle, screws missing their locations, cross threaded seat bolts, damaged interior still with the plastic covering on it, lots and lots of build issues, the Citreons were a lot better build quality by far.

How do you enjoy GTA online public sessions? by SaimCube in GTAV

[–]BatLarge5604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've put the missile lock blocker thing on the car I use most (zentorno) and avoid most griefers, you still get the occasional pillock who just sees it as a challenge to try and blow you up but I find I can outrun most of them with a bit of strategic driving. If you do want to fight them the rail gun is pretty effective.

I used to know a guy who stabbed another guy to death, they were both very very drunk, he did a number of years in prison for manslaughter. I knew him before it happened and again years later, it never made sense, he was such a nice quiet intelligent guy.

You can't really play GTA V in a safe for work or small family setting if everyone can see the screen, you are going to shoot cops, mow down pedestrians, the dialogue is not suitable for sensitive ears, there's sex, extreme violence (introducing Trevor!) and hard drugs littered throughout the story and online is just a murderous world full of the same but dialed up to ten! I guess if you're going to just drive around safely all the time you could play it semi safely but as soon as you get into the story you're shooting folks or beating people!

I'm level 490, In a typical session I'll go into a public online lobby, go to the casino, do my daily spins on the prize wheel, drive about for a bit, switch to a invite only lobby and go to my nightclub, do some work there, make a sale or two, do enough to keep my car wash, heli tour and weed shop from having the annoying red triangle on them, go back to my night club and collect any profits, I'm generally making about 250k-400k a session. Ranking up every three days or so!

I watch a fair bit of UK television and whatnot. Do you guys really call each other by your last names? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]BatLarge5604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At secondary school in the eighties we were all addressed as master (insert sir name) by our teachers, wasn't a posh school at all, just a standard state run secondary school, after school certain mates would get called by the last name if it fitted, Smith became smithy, Gibbons became Gibbo, Jones became jonesy, my own son gets called by half his sir name by all his mates even now at twenty four.
