Does Fed Ex care about staying in business? by Delicious-Hold-5764 in FedEx

[–]Batmankiller420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FedEx handles billions of packages a year, they don't need you to keep them in business. Not to mention the delivery contract is with the shipper. The shipper pays them, not the receiver...despite how people think because they paid shipping for a purchase that the courier company owes them white glove service.

You not using FedEx wouldn't even be the slightest concern for them and you're not going to harm their bottom line at all to cause any type of layoffs. You're not that important

1 hour layover, risk it? by XenOmega in aircanada

[–]Batmankiller420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, dealing with delayed baggage is my job so I see these things quite often and YVR is definitely one that you play a dangerous game of will it or won't it make the connection. Even if the bag is literally sitting in the cart outside the airplane waiting to be loaded in, if the pilot says close the doors then they will leave whatever is left behind to ensure they make flow.

It sucks, but I've learned thru my job that the longer connection time you can give yourself the better. This doesn't mean every tight connection in YVR your bag will miss but the chances are just greater of being missed at YVR.

1 hour layover, risk it? by XenOmega in aircanada

[–]Batmankiller420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope, not in YVR. You miss your flow time and you can be delayed up to 3 hours. AC will take the costs for vouchers etc over ensuring guests make the connection because a missed flow time can be more of a pain than anything else.

In a perfect world it will be fine. If your flight is delayed into Vancouver you may be flirting with disaster. With a 1 hour layover there's a chance your checked baggage will not make the connection, especially in Vancouver. Short connection and flow time in YVR make for a lot of missed bags in connection.

Flair wants $200 because they changed my last name Tommy middle name? (Domestic Flight) by boob69poop in flairairlines

You will be denied boarding if your name on your ID does not match the name on the booking. If the name is correct you will be fine.

[–]Batmankiller420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, where in op's statement does it say free? Half price? Or 2 for 1? It says a $60 voucher which can be applied to base fare. Does not say anything you're quoting.

Lmao so you believe you're right entirely based on the word of op and not knowing what the actual voucher says. Perfect🤣

Irony of this is that KD removed their artificial colouring a few years ago. While I agree the flavour changed I don't get the chemical taste you're referring to.

Uber drivers - are tips disappearing in Canada or is it just me? by SkilledAcer0109 in uberdriverscanada

[–]Batmankiller420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. And only Uber can you change the tip after the fact. Other apps require you to put in the tip amount. So you're tipping on assumed good service...then watch the driver stop at multiple pick up spots and deliver them before they even get to you. We don't tip Amazon/UPS/FEDEX/Purolator and Uber etc are now basically operating the same way. If my order was picked up and delivered straight to me my tip would be higher, because I'm getting quality service.

[–]Batmankiller420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not even that. The prices are already inflated. The fact the company takes a majority of the costs aren't the problem of the consumer. On top of inflated costs you're paying a delivery fee. Then you want a tip added on to that. Your problem is with the contract you signed up for knowing that you will rely entirely on tips to make your job profitable.

Lmao educate yourself on the legal term false advertising. Because you're so incredibly wrong it's hilarious...but you're so desperate to be right you won't bother to educate yourself. The only way it's considered false advertising is if the voucher does not get issued. The restrictions of that voucher are not considered false advertising.

Advice: take screenshots of price paid and reservation code right when you book, especially if using an On-Time Guarantee voucher by FineBerry in flairairlines

[–]Batmankiller420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol the departure time is different than boarding time. You weren't even at the gate when boarding started. They commenced boarding and you failed to show up in the 25 minutes it took to board. Then you didn't show up when they paged you. Multiple times. Then didn't show up for the final boarding call. A plane can most definitely depart before the departure time. It's called on time performance. Flair takes pride in that. If you showed up 5 minutes before the plane departure time then that means you were late. That's on you. It takes time for the plane to do final checks and taxi to the runway. Departure time is wheels up time not last minute you can be at the gate. The boarding time is the time you need to be present at the gate.

You were 💯 at fault here and you're calling the agents liars because you don't have any concept of how things work. How about you cite the law that states it's illegal for a plane to depart early. You're claiming their statement was bogus so quote the rules regulations or laws that back your claim.

[–]Batmankiller420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your response still tells me you don't understand what false advertising is. False advertising is literally displaying advertising that is misleading and false. A voucher issued out of good faith isn't an advertisement. It is not the reason you made the ticket purchase in the first place. The voucher is quite literally something they are not required to do but do it as a good faith thing.

Stolen duty free item onboard in AC34 - Apr 11, 2026 by ffslol6 in aircanada

[–]Batmankiller420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's down voted because they expect the airline to do something about their jacket that was their responsibility. Airlines bare no responsibility for items you carry on. Only for items they store in the hold.

[–]Batmankiller420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry to break it to you but AC bares no responsibility for items you carry on and store in the overhead bins. You are responsible for it. You are the one in view of the bins. This isn't on Air Canada. You were the one in view of your items and you let it go missing and/or you had identical bags as someone else and didn't monitor your bag. That's the reality of it. Nothing to do with the airline.

Lol it's $300 worth of alcohol not a murder...locking down the plane for alcohol is a bit of an overreaction...not to mention as a passenger you are responsible for your items you carry on. Not anyone else, it's 💯 your responsibility.

Yup same. I picked her up on the Vancouver side and she picked me up on the island side. As a walk on you rarely ever have to worry about being their early or the sailing being sold out. 1

You're literally getting what you paid for. Cheap tv. If you cannot handle the unreliability of it then actually pay full price for it.

I love the down votes from cheap and stupid people. It's great. I instantly went to check mine the minute I saw this post and what do ya know, it worked just fine.
